Hey thanks for the help on the mast that really gives me a better understanding!!! I hope it works.

I am planning on building a solid foundation of props this year and not go too overboard with mechanical things. So building pillars, fencing, tombstones and arches. Stuff we can use every year. If I get all that stuff done then maybe move on to some mechanical stuff. I think that way We can work that stuff into most Halloween themes. I do agree that it is nice to set yourself apart from the standard, but I also agree with you that it is a lot more work!

Hi Jaybo, thanks for the info on Jack. He's adorable. I'd love to build something like him, I'd keep him in my garden year round to keep out the humans:-)

AH a theme. That is when you know you have crossed the line and truly became "that family" on the street. Are you going to keep the theme from here on out, or switch it up yearly? I Have brought extra work upon myself by choosing the latter. I decided this year most likely will be a pet cemetery and next year most likely will be a carnival theme. But, I too have not started on any props. I know once I start it will kill all of my free time in the "real" world.
