I honestly wonder how the companies would react if a group of people were to dress up in fancy costumes, blow past the line of fools, and each hold out a bag while approaching the counter to ask for candy/treats. It would not be cutting, as there would be no purchases being made. If security were to kick them out, could they sue, as all that they would be doing is celebrating Thanksgiving in a (what is now) less traditional capacity?

All of the projects look amazing. I did this (these, I guess) the other year, but so be it... A skull mask from Michaels painted white and with rub-on tattoos applied. Its kin also shown is a skeletal harlequin.

All of my ornaments are ready-made (and often black), but I am working on redoing a couple of small stocking holders that I purchased from the dollar store, which I will post when completed, should they fit the criteria well enough.

Season 3, as a whole, is not as bad as some are making it out to be, at least in my opinion. The scenes with Kathy Bates' character, Madame LaLaurie, were often some of the darkest of any season. I am still perturbed about the ending, though, and would agree about that being a major letdown.

The show is generally pretty good, some times far moreso than others. Please tell me that I was not the only one cursing at Adalind for being so blasted stupid in the last episode:D

My condolences regarding the loss of your brother, Dyne. Personally, I feel that the decision to include a memorial in your haunt setup (or a little off-site) honoring him would be commendable. That said, I have been accused of being morbid, so I really do not know the tolerance of most 'normal' people regarding such matters, not that their opinions should sway you and alter your plans. I would hope that your family and friends would be respectful, as we all process and handle events...

Entertaining read. Thank you for sharing the article, theworstwitch. We truly need to find a way to get Thanksgiving back to that... I sure as heck would dress up for a masquerade (really, any chance to don elaborate garb is right up my alley).

Okay, gang, due to popular request, I'll be offering castings of my skull sculpture. You can either get it in rigid foam or hollow resin. Foam castings are not going to be as well detailed or perfect as the resin. So if you want it for display, go resin, if you're going to modify it or corpse it, save a buck and get the foam. Resin skulls come white (pictured below painted), and foam is yellowish (pictured below unpainted). Both will need a bit of cleanup along the seams (a razor blade...

Usually when people have big chunks of foam, it's because it was free, haha. I know a bunch of haunters around here scored big from a movie theater that was getting renovated and had HUGE blocks in the old walls as insulation. What you might be able to do on a budget is paper mache. Stolloween on a big scale.

This was an expanding polyfoam from Smooth On. The difference between a two part foam and Great Stuff is that the two part foam starts as a liquid, so is able to work into the detail before it expands.

I got into haunting shortly after those were no longer in production, and before the second version became available. Ended up finding one at a thrift store some years later, as well, but I know I paid more than $1.50! Great find.

Terra's looks like the flame is reflective. I saw some at the hardware store recently that had a white plastic part that was simply illuminated by the LED, rather than reflecting it. Not sure what to make of that, other than perhaps they figured out how to do it cheaper.

It's melamine from the hardware store. You could also use a tile or anything flat and kinda smooth. Silicone only sticks to silicone, so you don't have to worry about that. Just read the directions for your silicone to make sure it won't be inhibited (prevented from curing) by any of the materials you use. Inhibition, by the way, is really only a concern with platinum cure silicones (like the Rebound). The primary culprits are sulfur in some clays (in fact, if it doesn't say sulfur free...

    Hello,

I got the samples of the instant slime the other day. My girls and I played with it and they helped my write a review for it under the REVIEWS section of the forum. Heres the link: http://www.halloweenforum.com/produc...ml#post1119900
