That looks like it should come right off; I would say to try Mr. Clean Magic Eraser or similar (which can be found at places like Dollar Tree, with two in a pack).

Look familiar to anyone who gets catalogs from Design Toscano? At CVS, the ghost statue (Creeper, according to DT) is currently $10.40 after the discount (regularly $13), as opposed to $35:rolleyes:

It takes a while, but eventually it's rock hard. Yeah, shop towels are much slower at sucking up the paint. You could spritz them with a little water first to see if that helps suck the paint up. Even with the regular paper towels, you have to do a little massaging to get it all through. That's awesome! Reminds me of those South American mummies.

If anyone has been unable to find the stacked bat candleholders that have been shown in this thread periodically, Michaels has them online, and marked down at the moment:

Mr_Chicken replied to a thread Static: Painting a Latex Mask in Halloween Props
Yep, 50/50 acrylic and balloon latex works well. You might wipe the surface of the mask with naptha if you can get it first to open up the pores of the rubber and help it bite. You can get latex at special effects supply places like Frends Beauty in Los Angeles. I'm sure there are places closer to you, but they'll ship it. 16 oz is probably all you need

Those three certainly do taste the best:p;) Candy is candy to most children, plus no type will satisfy every greedy little snot who darkens your doorstep:D If you do not want to incite a riot here, you would be wise to forget mentioning anything and everything with the word 'fun' in regards to the size:rolleyes:

Looking good! Yeah, hot glue won't do much to bond PVC. You can get PVC cement from the plumbing section, or put screws in the connectors. I generally work with connectors only where I need to branch off multiple pieces of pipe. For shoulders and elbows, I use a heat gun to create the bends. It's stronger and cheaper than PVC connectors, and it gives you more flexibility in the poses.

I am not sure how I feel about the new acquisition (okay, that is a lie, though I will keep my thoughts to myself:D), but I can understand and thank Larry for his time and creation of the forum.

Not totally thrilling, but certain sections looked very nice. At least the 'tour' technique makes more sense with their boutique setup than Grandin Road's video for this year...

From the previous comments, it seems that we have reached a consensus on the Reaper statues:D The one with praying hands would be my preference, being something different, but the other is also pretty great in its own right.

I am unsure as to whether all Michaels stores have a Day of the Dead section this year or if only certain ones do (maybe I just did not look hard enough at the other location), but I found this candleholder ($12.99 before coupon) situated in a small display near the registers. There were also some black candlesticks that hold tapers; I want to say that there were three different sizes.

I haven't decorated since 2011. My powder monkeys have been asking if we can do...something this year. We'll see how it goes.

Health is far more important; while missing putting your plans into play may be disheartening, the holiday will come around again, whereas people are irreplaceable. Best of luck.

Those pillows are stunning. I see that Ross and Michaels have the same gigantic resin skull, only in differing color schemes. How can you even say that?!:p;)

Hey there. Are you still offering instant slime samples? I am thinking it might be just what I need for my haunt this year.

I got the samples of the instant slime the other day. My girls and I played with it and they helped my write a review for it under the REVIEWS section of the forum. Heres the link:

    Thanks again, Marc V.

btw, if you want to go to a university and study FX makeup and prosthetics, such as this, what major and/or minors should you look at? And know any universities or colleges that offer these majors and/or minors? thanks!
