Dal Sanders is an internationally known magician who has been a full time entertainer for over thirty years. He is well traveled who has regularly entertained audiences with his family friendly show The Pure Magic of Dal Sanders. An award winning professional, Dal has been the featured performer at theaters, television, resorts and corporate events across the United States.
While in college in the 70s Dal worked for the great Drew Hunter in the theatrically based Dr. Blood’s Exposition of Fear in Shreveport, Louisiana. After moving to Dallas, Texas in 1981, he continued his magical career and when he was offered the chance to put together his own haunted house he leapt at the chance. The concept was simple, Dal wanted to recreate some of the best scenes from well known horror movies…and he wanted to use magic to make those scenes come to life. To say that he was successful is an understatement. The Haunted Halls was like a license to print money. Dal and his team also got high praise from the Dallas/Fort Worth media for their work. They presented that attraction for several years and when Dal finally decided to close it down he was tired. The Marketplace was not attracting the kind of crowds he was used to (they are totally closed down now) and everyone felt like it was time to move on.
Since that time Dal has done several private haunts for various clients but nothing with the square footage that he had at the West End Marketplace. In 2008 Dal was approached by The Dallas Country Club about haunting their facility for their members. This was the chance to do a new large scale scare and Dal was ready for the job. Dal will return to the Dallas Country Club in 2009 and will also continue doing private magic based haunts for other clients as well.
