Good evening. I gathered that you were an ancient Egyptian fan from your user name. hatshepsut was the longest reigning female Pharoah, right? I'm very interested in ancient civilisations too, and have just returned from a 2 week vacation in Mexico, exploring the Mayan ruins in Yucatan. I can really recommend a trip to Egypt if you ever get the chance...It's a fantastic experience. (Although I realise it's probably a lot easier to get to for us Brits) We also got to go down into the tomb of Rameses II in the valley of the kings and visit the karnak temple, and of course the Great Pyramids of Giza. The tombs are awesome..they still have the murals and heiroglyphics that look as though they were painted only a few years ago. The Cairo Museum is an amazing place too. The death mask of Tutankhamun, in gold and lapis lazuli is probably one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. Unfortunately, I don't have any pics of RamesesII or his tomb to show you as photography is forbidden in the Cairo museum (You have to hand your camera in before you go in) and inside the tombs in the Valley of the kings. If I remember correctly...Old Rameses had a few tufts of gingerish coloured hair... Kind regards, Baron S.
