oh wow! I need inspiration like yours! I need some prop planning or something. I have been in a funk the past couple of months dont know why. I just need a prop inspiration to get me back on the building path. I want to go t your house with the aliens and scary forest and your private party! LUNCH is anytime. I say this spring sometime
Hallow ELH!! Still waiting for massive hit of inspiration for this coming Halloween. We have been toying with the idea of not throwing a private party - and instead focusing on the big community/neighborhood one on Trick or Treat night. This way - MysterE and I can visit other parties, haunts, etc and enjoy ourselves a bit pre-TOT night. At the last minute, things came up and we missed out on Bozz's backyard bog haunt last year due to several factors - and would really like to make it this year. It was the best he said - full moon and all. He and his fam do a spectacular job with the scare factor! Eeek! So not throwing our own private party would make it easier to go to other fun haunts, ya know? As for our yard haunt, I have a few little sparks of ideas that need more development. My "Scary Tale Forest" idea needs some building and prop planning - including a Hansel and Gretel witches cottage for the back corner of our little yard. Hubby wants to build a mausoleum this year. We also need to bump up our spaceship and streamline how we put our hearse together. We built it two years ago and it is where we place the cauldrons for the Food Pantry collection. It is a huge effort to put it together, and I keep thinking there must be a better way. Last year the spaceship was out big addition. We need to improve the lightening and add some special FX - maybe some aliens and zombies walking around the yard. I wanted to also have a few pods in the cemetery as in the Night of the Living Dead... Sheesh -- so mush to do!! Who knows how it will all turn out! We have tickets to go to Transworld Haunters convention in a couple weeks. Now I need to make pet care plans and budget for the hotel, etc. Hope we can get there and be inspired! Now...when are we gonna make good on our "Ghouls Do Lunch" promise from last year? Hope all is well - Hugs, Bugs and ...BOO!

Hallow tonight ELH!! DO WE DO A YARD DISPLAY ? DO WE DO A YARD DISPLAY!! OH DEAR -- MY MYSTERE GOES OVERBOARD each year!! So we just finished taking down a satellite dish - one of two we now have standing ready to become a flying saucer/alien spaceship that will crash in our front yard - near the graveyard - the hearse - and the headless horseman!! You MUST come up for our party!! Bozz and his Mrs. and son did last year. They drove down from Dayton to join in our fun. It was only fair since the previous weekend - MysterE and I went up to enjoy his AMAZING haunted trail - and after scaring the bee gee bees out of us, it seemed only fair that we taunt them to attend our party. It was soo fun to have them in the mix of our other kooky party guests. Sooo -- You would be TOTALLY welcome! I also know that the Cincinnati Home Haunters group will be enjoying a day at Kings Island in late September and we have offered our house for the after party! We don't do the "gore" thing at all - so some might be disappointed, but we do our best to set up a cool environment. COME JOIN US!! And bring your significant smother! LOL
