We had a big storm here, we got 3' of snow and lost power. So sorry about my delay in replying. If you can, please post a picture of your witch in the cauldron. Also which pictures are of your witches in the google search? I'm building my first witch, have the wooden base done and outline drawn on it. I have a dress (found it at goodwill), hat, hair, sock, shoes and broom. I need a shirt, cape, hands (which I will make from Crayola Model magic) and legs. I don't want to use PVC this time, just doesn't look right. I found a smoke machine and I'm in the process of rigging it up now. So far, in my head it looks great. Now I just have to build what I see!
Thanks for the link. Last year I used Google to get some ideals on what to do. Your look good. The main part to me, is not how "real" the thing looks, but the presentation. A good presentation goes a long way. On the link is a witch that fell into a cauldron, it is a cake. I like how that looks. I think I'm going to make a display like that. So now I owe you one. Thanks
I too love them. I have big plans for mine. Last year was my first. I built the classic phone pole crash. What I did different was have her hold a sign, like those in cartoons that read "Ouch". The brats got to her and I found her all over the block! Right now I'm working on a ground crash. I'm using expanding foam for dirt to make it look like she went into the ground and I have a smoke machine to an extra effect.
