I just looked through this years album. Way to go girl! You rocked it out of the park!!! Everything was so nicely done. Everything was so awesome it's hard for me to say what I liked best. I really like how you used all of a rooms surfaces. Great for sensory over load. I can only imagine how much the kiddies loved it!!! Kudos.

I will try and get pics up just as soon as I dig myself out of this pig pen!! ! Hey, have you finished the book yet?

Hey buddy. I am just checking in to let you know that I am still alive. I am almost done digging out and putting away. I hope to wrap up by Sunday, Monday at the latest.
I hope you and your family are doing well. I miss you!

We all really had fun with the carnival theme this year. Hubby, daughter, and grandson all helped with props and setting up. They all came over early, had dinner here, and even our youngest teenaged son and all his friends hung out here. It was like an impromptu party. They all dressed up as gorillas, monkeys, and clowns, and helped hand out candy. They went toting themselves. I enjoyed this year the most so far because everyone else enjoyed it so thoroughly. Now they are excited about next year too. (yay!)

great pictures of your haunt,,, would of loved to have seen it in person, at night!! you did a fabulous job on it! I saw a guy who would make a great mummy, but the medieval idea is the one that grabs me,,, can think of so many things what would work with that,,,

It is impressive that you could do 15 different themes with your props. That's a lot! I think Wolfbeard also said they've done different themes every year for about the same number of years. Hmmmm, now you have me thinking again, LOL.

No, I haven't done Western yet. I have really only done a "themed haunt" for 3 years now. Before that I kinda just had a cemetery and would dress up the 2 skeletons I had. One year they were a bride and groom. Then, the next year, they were having a luau. Now, I have many more props, and the plan is to rotate amongst 4 themes. Two years ago, I started out with Medieval, but it was pretty sparse and could be much improved upon. Last year I did Pirates. This year was Carnival, and next is Western. Then back to Medieval. At this point, I am not sure I want to just have 4 themes either because there are so many other good ones, but I don't have any more storage space, so it would have to be a theme where I could reuse lots of stuff. I also like generic haunted house décor indoors, so have a lot of that too. The pirates and carnival turned out so well, that I can't bear to sell off everything like some people do when they are done. (Wish I could, but I like the stuff too much.)

I did look at your photos from your Western theme, and it looked really fun. Got lots of ideas from your haunt that year.

Oh, yes, we definitely need a jester!!! Maybe we can both do it for 2015. Next year for us has been decided too, Western. What is your theme for next year that they want to do?

Hi there, Hallo. You asked about ideas for a medieval theme on another thread. I am planning one for the year after next (2015). I am thinking of having a wizard, skeleton fairies in an enchanted forest, knights, princesses, Rapunzel in her tower, a dragon, gargoyles, griffins, cherubs, metal cages with skeletons or skulls, bats, shields and swords, medieval banners, witches and werewolves. The name of the display (because I always have a name for them, LOL) is "Medieval Nights." What ideas have you been thinking about, and when would you do this theme?

Not really. The night was rainy, so I was not able to decorate how I had planned. Some of the parents irked me, since they had umbrellas for themselves, but none for the kids. Had maybe 70 trick-or-treaters, which is close to last year's amount (and a bit surprising, due to the weather conditions).
