Ghost of Spookie replied to a thread Atmosphere Effects: Wall Coverings in Halloween Props
I have a bunch of the scene setters but wanted to up the look from them so this is what I've bought recently. 1) Last year I bought some wallpaper on clearance from Steve's Blinds and Wallpaper online. I watched out for clearance and sales, took advantage of their website coupons, and bought inexpensive rolls during the year. Right now they have a 25% off sale for example. Every so often they will have a $1.99 (overstock sale) to $3.99/roll sale and coverage will depend on the pattern. Found...

OK UPS came early and the shipping box looks great. The box is lightweight and not very wide but it is Tall! Dimensions are 20 x 22 x 44-1/2 inches. Haven't unpacked him yet but wanted to alleviate any concerns about receiving him damaged in shipping. The sneaky UPS guy didn't even ring the bell this time so it gave me pause he might have dropped off a damaged box. Whew! Got lucky. Each half of him seems to be wrapped within the plastic bags he's in. Have a busy afternoon and not...

Pretty sure we are talking about the same seller here, not two different. Didn't find any other listings for it. The seller I bought from used the same listing and just added quantity to it. So just one left.

How COOL! We just watched the last 3 episodes of it this past Friday/Saturday. Had stuff to do on Fridays over the past few weeks and was anxious to see how they wrapped it up. We really loved that series, great cast and not one we didn't end up liking, and thought they did the show justice in the end albeit a bit quickly wrapped up in spots but it did leave us satisfied but also wanting more with it's ending. That is just so cool that you have props from the show and a skull from that scene. ...

Hey, if anyone is still looking for The Count, the same seller mentioned above in the link (Post #13) put up two more of them. Another HF member picked up one of them, so right now there's one left.

Love the look! What did you use for the hair...fiber optic wire? Looks lit on the ends but not sure. The face is frighteningly original. BTW looked through your PhotoBucket photos and love your little shop of horrors!

Sorry to hear about the recent passing of your grandparents. Glad to see you are back here on the forum though. OMGosh that is some gorgeous work there! Suggestions for improvement...duh, keep up the great work :D. Look forward to seeing how your set up progresses. I do like the photos where the lanterns have the blue lighting in them over the more natural yellow look.

Thought I'd mention that The Count will be here Monday. Shipped UPS and their records say his shipping weight is 21.6 lbs. Definitely sounds manageable. No indication of the size of the box on their tracking form however. Thanks again to everyone who provided feedback on him.

I was thinking of using a very large and sturdy outdoor cushion storage bag for mine. I was debating about separating some of the body parts of the horse and using 2 bags but have been reconsidering that decision, kind of concerned without box support around it it could get broken. That rib cage is huge and very heavy. Here's a few photos I took of the box from last year when we were storing it after assembly. The carton it shipped in from Home Depot measured: 40 in x 22.5 in x...

LOL. I've been organizing one room of our house into a halloween room with my props and such and checking everything for batteries while doing so. Looking at the prop boxes I pretty much said I think I'm set for life now with halloween props. Then I saw The Count. And said OK just this last guy. So LOL at your comment! I really have wanted him for a number of years and never found him locally so kind of balked at shipping him plus like Saki.girl always found other props during the season that I...

Sounds like I will be very glad I pulled the trigger on him. And so glad to know how well he has held up for multiple people. I won't be using an attic for storage but nice to know he could tolerate our garage if need be. Hearing that his back is open and covered by the cape, is that also true of his feet as well? Sounds kind of like the GR Headless Horseman who's back was open too if I recall correctly. The Count isn't the hunk horseman is but he's just downright creepy looking while kind...

Heard thru a PM from a fellow haunter (Much Thanks again!) about their Count and glad to hear it's held up really well over the years. Feel relieved in knowing that. Would welcome any photos any of you guys might have showing your Count in your haunt. I seem to remember one person's Count behind an old West facade so know he gets around and isn't living just in Transylvania :D!

I stumbled upon an eBay listing for Gag Studio's "The Count" vampire prop being sold this morning at a pretty good price and bought him. Apparently this company had 11 of them for sale and this was the last one with 18 people viewing him, so the timing couldn't have been better. I have admired this prop for so many years in many of members' photos posted here and am excited to be getting him (new in box too!). I understand that he is a pretty big prop and wondering if anyone who has him can...

I bought Spirit Halloween's Wacky Mole Clown prop a few years ago during their After Halloween sale and the Instructions for him were missing. Just reorganizing some props now and would like to include the instructions with him before storing him back away. Any chance anyone can easily put their hands on them and scan or take a photo of them them and send in a PM or post here? Thanks!

Since many of our halloween props and lighting decor make use of extension cords, I saw this video I thought worth sharing that illustrates how to manage your extension cords for ease of use and to keep them in good condition. I've always been frustrated with mine especially when you're using a 50- or 100-foot cord. Hated the tangles and the difficulty in trying to make sense of the bunch of intertwining cord. Problem solved!
