For those who have been in their stores, do they have any decent scary clown masks? The last few years they've had some nice ones that are priced right and comfortable to wear. Our store still isn't open so just wondering. TIA

:DHey Doll....I'm doing okay....I can't be sad forever...Bells wouldn't have wanted that. I got a pound puppy for Harry...of course, Harry begs to differ. But I had to do something to pull him out of his funk. She is a little 35 pound terrier mix and my vet says he thinks she is more like 8 to 10 months. She is a sweetie though!

I agree. Having another experienced haunter to collaborate with is a dream come true. I know had it not been for Mark (lewlew), I would have downsized big time last year and likely not ramped up again. Fresh ideas make it fun and interesting. We are both very detail oriented and a big part of the fun is setting the scenes just right and making distractions for the main scares. I think we may be in this for one more year at our home before we attempt something on a larger more public scale (hint...

Thanks! This is a whole new avenue for us. I've never done a circus/clown theme. The idea came from my son who suggested it after watching American Horror Story "Freak Show." We're starting from scratch as far as props, costuming, masks, etc but it's coming together nicely. Having built the structure last year, we only have to rework the halls and scares. We'll also be replacing the front yard cemetery with an arcade theme; three "booths" with circus character attendants. so much more but I'll...

I'm not sure what kind of "Clear-mesh" they are talking about. Most people use shower curtains or sheets, but that's normally inside the house. If I was going to use a projection outside, I would try out a large piece of replacement window screen. I think that would make a good scrim. Or maybe landscape fabric (weed-block) would work? Good luck!

I don't understand why manufacturers insist on adding music to so many Halloween props. It's like--let's make this prop look as real and creepy as possible, but make it sound as stupid as possible. Thank goodness for wire snippers.

Hi Jason, I am glad that you like your kit! I am looking forward to seeing your progress. I got your email and sent you over a picture that might help. Here is a thread I posted a while back while finishing one of our zombies. I hope this will help give you some ideas as well. http://www.halloweenforum.com/halloween-props/139332-filling-out-pvc-body.html I am also working on a "how to" for just this sort of thing I will hopefully have done soon. I've been wanting to try to make an animated/haunted chess board for years now, and finally started working on one this summer. It works on the same principle as the animated Ouija board, using magnets to move the chess pieces across the board. It took a lot of trial and error to get it working like I wanted, but it was worth the effort. It uses a basic 4-bar mechanism, with the motor in the middle of the bars making it work like a quick-return. I originally planned to have two chess pieces...

Thanks, Spookie! But no, I don't know of any way to do that. Someone who really knows electronics/computers could probably figure out a way to do it.

Hhhmmm, do you know, I've never been to a trade show. (probably because none are close to me) I'll have to check out what's coming closest to me and maybe take a look at going. Do you have to have special credentials to get in?
