Thanks for that tip. Yeah, it killed me to fork over another $100 just to get better sound. Luckily, it had the built in sound and programming which then made me a happy camper :)

Gobby, it must have been something in the air this past week. I too awoke to a partially flooded basement. Unfortunately it was the water heater. When I went downstairs it was spewing water by the gallons out of the top. It looked like a water volcano. To top things off the day before that our brakes went out on one of our cars. The lower level air conditioning unit croaked and a huge dark snake has crawled into the garage... and I don't know where it is!!! We had the plummer out yesterday and...

Oh, and another plus! Had another doctor's appointment and the exercise and dieting is paying off. Lost another 22 pounds! That's 57 pounds so far. I wish I could say that makes me a skinny boy who disappears when I turn sideways, but I'm not there yet -- I'm about halfway to my goal. I do feel a lot better, I'm more physical, have more energy, my wife says I've stopped snoring, and I like being able to cinch up my belt to holes I've never used before.

I really hope that's not how my house turns out, but I'll be honest with you...I've been remodelling one room or another for the past ten years! Fortunately, that's not my area. We got some heavy rain yesterday, and it was pretty cold last night, but today is sunny and around 50 degrees, which is considered a beautiful day in Seattle. I'm happy to finally move on from the temporary permit to the real permit. This permit means all the questions and issues have been resolved. The...

At this point, all I can do is laugh. If I couldn't laugh, people would be dead. Just got the email this morning from the County Clerk's Office that my permit is complete and ready to pick up between the hours of 8 am and 3 pm. But not today, of course, because today is Thursday, and their offices are closed on Thursdays.

I don't run mine outdoors - you'd have to rig up some kind of enclosure for that. Don't have any experience with the 103's, 104's.

Thanks sooo much!!!! I knew that you would understand. I really just needed the chance to vent a little. As the evening went on I got a little teary and went to bed early. I felt a lot better this morning. As my mother always said: " The bridge between hope and despair is a good night sleep." Today all was good until I got the cost to replace the water heater and repair damage. $8,000.00!!!!!!!!!! Plus I still have no clue where the heck the snake is! Ugh. :( Oh well.... life...

^^this^^ We have gradually scaled back on our lighting over the years, believing that shadows and dark areas lend so much to the atmosphere we're shooting for. I used to think that every square inch of the display had to be lit in order to see every prop, but we've gotten away from that mindset, in favor of subtle lighting that allows everything to be visible, even though everything is not lit up.

I am having a major pity party right now. I realize that in the wake of what happened to so many In Oklahoma yesterday I have little to complain about. Never the less, it has been a rough 24 hours. Last night the brakes went out on our old suburban. It's,a,really, old car but we need it. Then one of our air conditioning units went out. Later in evening a huge snake crawled, into the garage. As far as I know it's still in there. Hopefullly it's not a poisionios one. Then this morning our water...

    Hey,
I hope you had a good Halloween man I have another prop problem its not with Donna this time but the life size gemmy Michael Myers prop the Rob Zombie version. This thread explains the exact same problem I have:
    http://www.halloweenforum.com/hallow...yers-prop.html

Every time Myers raises his knife it makes the clicking/tapping sound buckles the person who first made that thread posted a video on post number #7 its the same as mines do you have any clue what the problem can be based on that video or if you have the prop can you please help me out? I am really bummed about my gemmy props they look great but damn the electronics arent really good.
