We also have a yard display, in addition to our walk through haunt structure. The yard display (as shown in the pics in my previous post) is all about the atmosphere and giving guests something to look at while they wait to go through the haunt. The walk through portion is designed to be scary and is very actor heavy. We let people make the choice to go through or not and candy is handed out before they even near the door to the haunt so little kids aren't forced to go through to get their...

Our house will be finishing a remodel around Halloween and I will need to change my plan a bit for this year. We will most likely have a storage unit on our driveway so our display will have to wrap around it. I think it will still work.

We normally have a mix of traditional, and a good portion of scares. We don't go overboard on gore although two years ago in our zombie theme haunt we did have one room that was pretty intense. We deviated a bit last year with our clown theme but kept many traditional elements intact. Witches, zombies, graveyards, ghosts, are staples of our display/haunt. This year the entire haunt is vampire themed so we're relying on a dark palette, lots of skulls, gargoyles, bats. etc..

You have your priorities in order. Family first. Your daughter will love her first TOT experience and you'll be with her to share it and see her reactions.

Gee, I'm sorry to hear you will have to take this year off. You have to follow your priorities, though. Maybe the rest will do you good and you'll be in top form for 2017. I hope your grandmother isn't suffering through all this.

I've never had to ask for a refund for anything. The only I ever sent back with the pre-paid label was for a replacement item. Worked fine and no charges were involved.

Seams are a bugger for sure and even those on a few of mine can be seen on close examination. The best way I've found to really blend them in is to apply a good layer of wood putty to each seam and then sand it off until the seam/joint is smooth. sometimes I need to add an extra coat if things don't quite match up. I also give them two coats of Dry Lok which is pretty thick and covers a lot of little imperfections. At the end of the day however, this stuff is viewed in low light for a minute or...

Thank you SO much for that! Truly appreciated. We have a small space to work with so layout is everything. We pack a lot into our small front yard but it doesn't looked cramped, which is what we shoot for. Yeah, that's a gamble for sure. Too bad you couldn't find some other haunters to go in with you on a pallet. I'm sure none of it would go to waste!! Thanks Dave! I'm happy with them!

My orders always include a pre-paid return shipping label with every order. You just box it back up and stick on the bar coded label. Take it to a UPS Store and they will ship it back at no charge to you.

Like Hilda, yours was one of the first graveyards I fell in love with. It is just so beautiful. Your lay out and design is so well executed and your stones are really lovely. LOVE the new stones!

Check with the big box stores like Lowes or home Depot. Ask if they can order it for you. They might be able to get some in on a shipment.

For all you Disney Haunted Mansion fans or Guillermo del Toro fans it looks like this movie collaboration is still in the works. I remember hearing whispers about this a while ago... then nothing. Well surprise, it appears that this might actually still happen! Yay :D http://www.insidethemagic.net/2016/04/guillermo-del-toro-confirms-he-is-still-writing-his-haunted-mansion-movie/

I am a Panthers fan, obviously, but they aren't playing well. The half time show was pathetic....it's sad that it hit me wrong.... Good luck to you guys with the downsize. Sometimes smaller is better....and good luck to you guys with Spiderhill...it is one of my "Go-to's"
