jdubbya started a thread Static: Spell book on the cheap in Halloween Props
Doing little accent props for our witch house. Bought an old book from a thrift store. Aged the cover with paper mache and some paint/dry brush. Printed a couple spells off and stained the paper with a coffee filter. Set it on the easel I got on clearance from Michaels and it came out pretty fair. This will sit someplace in the main room of the haunt.

Good post and one I identify with. We had actually planned to scale way back three years ago. I was pretty much a one man set-up/tear down crew, and while we had ample help working the walk through haunt on Halloween, come 11/1 I was tearing down all by myself and it got to be a chore. Along came fellow haunter and forum member "lewlew" who lived not too far from me and who's own awesome haunt was on hiatus. We agreed to do a collaborative effort back in 2014 and while it took up less real...

Plans for 2017 mainly consist of the things I was unable to get done for 2016. Off the top of my head: 1) Build cemetery fence and columns 2) Jazz up store bought tombstones (add additional foam and create bases) 3) Build a new and improved fog chiller So far the only real thing I KNOW I will want to purchase is a new fog machine. Hoping to snag a 1000 watt unit. The 400 watt unit did not cut it for the new yard last year and the fog kept seeping out of my homemade fog chiller (made...

Picked up a neat cage, a wrought iron easel that we'll use to hold a spell book, and some color changing led tea lights. All from Michaels.

Nightfisher--I have my dropping spider(s) just coming off a tree limb, but I like your setup with the skeleton a lot better. The prop would probably be a lot more noticable that way. I don't know when his video was posted, but it looks like that Toddzilla guy is using my Spider Lifter mechanism I made and posted here on the forum in 2011. http://www.halloweenforum.com/halloween-props/112874-spider-lifter.html VIDEO:...

Hi Pax ! Sorry, I haven't logged on in a while. That's cool your wife had a '69 Mach 1. I love mine, but I think I like looking at it more than I do driving it. I just spent a year and a half putting new headers and a complete Flowmaster exhaust system in it. I'm waiting for warmer weather to get it out of the garage. It was 14 degrees this morning. Brrrr...... Take care and I'll talk to you later!

Hi what do you guys think about this bust its from jonathan fuller I was going to add some glass eyes and maybe maggots?! Or do you think I should just leave it alone. Was going to make this one life size will it be cooler as a static or do you think maybe as a pneumatic scarecrow on a post that pops out when someone comes nearby?

I am a Panthers fan, obviously, but they aren't playing well. The half time show was pathetic....it's sad that it hit me wrong.... Good luck to you guys with the downsize. Sometimes smaller is better....and good luck to you guys with Spiderhill...it is one of my "Go-to's"
