As I was out for my normal daily walk i went into the cemetery up the block from me and i saw all great looking stones and the inspiration i get from them and thought it would be nice it we all could share pictures of the cemetery's in our towns or city's. Will upload ones from mine later in the day.

Well it sounds like you have certainly been having fun! lol. I had a really crappy time of it yesterday as well as the day before. It's kind of a long story but if interested you can read about it on Bethie's page. Hey, whats going on with your car?

Thanks sooo much!!!! I knew that you would understand. I really just needed the chance to vent a little. As the evening went on I got a little teary and went to bed early. I felt a lot better this morning. As my mother always said: " The bridge between hope and despair is a good night sleep." Today all was good until I got the cost to replace the water heater and repair damage. $8,000.00!!!!!!!!!! Plus I still have no clue where the heck the snake is! Ugh. :( Oh well.... life...

^^this^^ We have gradually scaled back on our lighting over the years, believing that shadows and dark areas lend so much to the atmosphere we're shooting for. I used to think that every square inch of the display had to be lit in order to see every prop, but we've gotten away from that mindset, in favor of subtle lighting that allows everything to be visible, even though everything is not lit up.

I am having a major pity party right now. I realize that in the wake of what happened to so many In Oklahoma yesterday I have little to complain about. Never the less, it has been a rough 24 hours. Last night the brakes went out on our old suburban. It's,a,really, old car but we need it. Then one of our air conditioning units went out. Later in evening a huge snake crawled, into the garage. As far as I know it's still in there. Hopefullly it's not a poisionios one. Then this morning our water...

Thank you so very much for making the pattern and the nice things you said about my tombstone. I was just so floored at how perfect the pumpkin matched up to my avatar. You are a very skilled artist!

When I made my Haunted Mansion-style animated Candle, for the flame I cut a piece of plexiglass in the shape of a flame. Than sanded it to rough it up and diffuse the light. After that, I mounted one of the flicker-flame LEDs on the bottom edge of the flame, shining straight up. I thought it looked great! Here's my PhotoBucket album with the pics: http://smg.photobucket.com/user/DaveNTracy/library/Haunted%20Mansion%20Animated%20Candle?sort=3&page=1

Disguise the outside of it where you can't see into it very well (or maybe it will be dark enough outside) and throw in a couple of those "Bumble Ball" toys. (The battery powered balls that randomly roll around by themselves while making noise and hitting the walls.) People will wonder what the heck is in there.............. You could do the same effect with a portable dog kennel, too.

They look great! For changing the screen each year, how about instead you make the area flush and just paint the saying.

Watching my father dealing with the stress of my brother Marine being deployed during Desert Sheild and then Desert Storm was something I'll never forget. My father, a Marine himself, spent coutless hours cutting out newspaper articles about the war and putting them into albums to give my brother when he returned. I believed it helped him with the stress on not being able to personally do something to help. My brother returned - safe and sound - and received at least 10 super-stuffed photo...

I am kinda nervous about the damage to eyes with the laser issue. Is it ok since the laser is actually being reflected onto the fog? Or is it just as dangerous? If so I guess I will have to shoot the laser up but then you lose the vortex effect.

Every time Myers raises his knife it makes the clicking/tapping sound buckles the person who first made that thread posted a video on post number #7 its the same as mines do you have any clue what the problem can be based on that video or if you have the prop can you please help me out? I am really bummed about my gemmy props they look great but damn the electronics arent really good.
