Thanks WW! Appreciate that. Yeah, we basked for a week or so lol. It was a solid effort but now onto other themes. Not even sure where we're going next year. Mark and I usually meet in February over breakfast and nail down the theme and rough floor plan, then flesh it out from there. We're tossing around a couple ideas but nothing concrete. I'm just tinkering with a few things that we can use regardless but fun to have side projects to keep you in the spirit!

Now their face book page is down. Looks like it's official. Sad. Part of me is a bit pissed in that they could have at least sent a message out to customers saying whats up or that they were retiring, going out of business, etc. rather than just drop off the face of the earth. Oh well. another good vendor out of the mix.

Thanks jdubbya, I am hoping to have several new pieces for next season. This one is pretty much ready to go. Will probably start building more of them here soon. :) Let's try this again with the pictures. I got everything mounted in place more or less. I just have to secure the lower half of the skellie. It runs really well. Should have this one wrapped up pretty quickly. :) Short video here too.

Hi All, I just wanted to share a project I am working on this weekend. This is going to be an animated leering skeleton holding a lantern. I am making this one as a Christmas present for my brother since he is just starting out decorating. :) Nothing fancy about him. He is a Walgreens skeleton I got on clearance after Halloween. He will be holding an LED lantern. His "Box" will be covered with rough cut fence pickets. I am hoping to trim it out to look like an old shipping crate when it is...

We normally keep busy all year with projects for the next season. Been making some witch lanterns and totems, along with getting a few more tombstones ready. just a hodge podge of stuff but less to do in the warm weather and these make nice winter projects.

I have my doubts. I was going to order a couple more costumes at 75% off but changed my mind halfway through the order process. I recieved an email the next day from them asking if there was a problem and would I like to continue with my order. I realize these emails are automatically generated but I replied anyway and flat out asked them if they were going out of business, along with the fact that they were a great vendor, good customer service and all that. That was about two weeks go and I...

What is the layout like in terms of usable space? Are you using just the yard, a porch or patio? part of the driveway? This will determine, in part, what you can do as far as props, etc. Would this be a display only type of yard haunt or a walk through interactive thing?

Always a visual treat! I'd love to come with you guys just to pick out the props you use. Every scene is so well detailed and interesting. Really looks better than most professional haunts in terms of sets, lighting, etc.. Strong work once again. Your actors are fantastic btw! Great costuming and make-up. This just checks all the boxes!

Hands down one of the best mask makers out there. Excellent sculpts by varied talented artists, thick pulls, awesome paint jobs and a money back guarantee. Can't ask for more. I own 5 of his masks and will likely add a few more next year.

I love this! Everyone else hit the highlights; the prop placement, lighting, and overall atmosphere you created was perfect. I can imagine a young child walking up to your front door and the excitement/apprehension they must have felt. Your home is gorgeous as well and a perfect backdrop. Good to see you posting again! Strong work!!

Thanks very much! We had fun putting everything together and the visitors really seemed to enjoy it. The line was long for most of the evening but we kept it moving pretty well. We also have actors working the queue line to keep folks "entertained" while they wait. Thanks! We really did have a fun time. My son took the pics, many of which were taken right after the crowd died down. We had the actors stay in their spots and he went through the haunt with his camera.

What an odd comment. I'm sure there was no confusion here. Does every one of your posts mention your inn? I have yet to see one that doesn't, and now rather than commenting on the OP's talent, you just have a need to clarify that this isn't your display?

This is really fantastic! Too much to comment on everything, but love the vintage look and color. The banners are gorgeous, and the lighting is spot on. Definitley one of the most interactive and involved walk through haunts I ever saw. Will watch this again and again.

Dang! That was really impressive! Nice lighting, well put together scenes and the scares were good too! Hard to visualize how big it is in the dark like that but it looked to be a decent walk through. Lots to look at. Really nice job!! Welcome to the walk through club!!

Just beautiful! The graveyard is haunting and the ghosts rising from the ground are fantastic. Love the blue fire and ice on the corn stalks! what a great effect that gives. All of the little details like the tea lights, witch jars, etc all make it a showpiece. Very strong work!
