Mu current town has TOT on Halloween from 5:30 to 8 but I usually start to get kids after 5 but the kids mostly stop once it gets dark. I'd LOVE if there was no set time limit or if they expanded it. The town I grew up in had trick-or-treat the Saturday before Halloween unless Halloween was a Saturday and it was from 1pm to 3pm. They've changed it now but I felt so cheated as a kid. I atleast wanted it Halloween.

Our city has observed 6-8 pm TOT hours for years. I'm not sure if it's enforceable and if kids come to our door after 8 or even up until 9, we'll give them something. We put a ton of work (read months) into our walk through haunt and display and we often talk about the limited time we have to show it all off. I can see the reasoning behind it to a degree but I'd like to see it go until 8:30 or 9. Hell, we used to stay out until 10 p.m. when we were kids and folks were still handing out treats!!...

Also if you're using the same motor I did with the black plastic pulley on it, you can just bolt your crank to the pulley itself. That would be the easiest way.

It seems that it's my turn today :) Forgive me for opening it on my bed, it's the only clean surface in the house as we're trying to clean and remodel the interior of our house. I found this lovely package sitting on my porch this morning. I love Hocus Pocus so when I saw that I got a package from one Winifred Sanderson I knew I had been reaped. I immediately brought it in and opened it. I had a little help though. My cat buddy hopped up on the bed and immediately began to investigate. He...

The motor shaft is flat on one side. So I just put my crank on the rounded side, then used a short piece of the same metal stock on the FLAT side with two holes drilled through. Use the short piece as a guide and drill matching holes in the crank. Then use small screws, lock washers and nuts to secure it tightly against the motor shaft. If you need a picture, I can go out in the yard and take one. Mine is swinging out there now.

I bought the pair of trees from my local Spirit store yesterday, my daughter works there so she had her ear close to to the ground as far as when they were available, she texted me that they were available, I dropped $400 for the pair but I'm very happy I've wanted them since I saw a similar pair last year, no list, money talks, first with cash.

I honestly didn't mind the cliffhanger. I don't watch a lot of TV so felt like it just gave me something to ponder for a few months, and as this debut neared I got more excited for it as the days grew closer. Overall, I felt it was a good episode. I already hate Negan more than the Governor. Jeffery Dean Morgan plays him so well. Andrew Lincoln deserves an award for his acting last night. That snot bubble when he was freaking can an actor make a snot bubble appear??

thanks so much so I wont use a power strip for sure. So your saying if I had to choose 1 of the 2 choose an extension cord? See I will have this indoors I live in a condo building there is a outlet next to the door I really don't want an air compressor next to my door or running an air hose either so was going to use a thin extension cord and maybe try hiding it under the mat we have by the door. I have a few props by my door right now I don't really want to move them to make way for a...

He turned out awesome! I don't want to hijack this thread but I wanted to answer some of the kit questions, :) We typically use the larger pool noodles for the arms and legs. You can make a torso pretty easily out of hardware cloth. To get the lantern handle through the hand I start by pushing a small metal rod carefully through the hand to get a guide hole. Next remove the handle from the lantern, bend one of the end hooks straight, and carefully work the handle through the hand. Once...

I'm willing to bet nothing will happen. From my understanding this isn't even the first time that people were unnecessarily scared of clowns. Things will be back to normal in a year or two. We just like to scare ourselves over nothing.

Hi I have a California air tools air compressor they are real quiet a lot more money but worth it I got a new one today on the cord that you plug it in with there was a yellow warning tag saying don't used an extension cord use a air hose instead? I wanted to know instead can I plug it into one of those 6 outlet power strips and have the power strip itself connected to an extension cord?
