I think for me it's that sense of being halfway to Halloween that really helps rev up the excitement for the season. The countdown starts to weigh in favor of Halloween at this point. So yes, I can totally relate!

We had about 60-70 people but not all of them participated in the game. It was very chill...there was no time limit or anything so guests would just peruse through things while they were getting food, walking through the house, heading outside, etc.

I kind of set this one off to the side for a bit. I'm still playing with shapes and getting my idea firmed up. I went back to another item I wanted to do for Saki's haunted toy craft. I have a haunted jack-in-the-box on my bench I started working on over the weekend. I will get some pictures up soon. It's going to be very detailed and elaborately gilded like a 1700 or 1800's toy that has been lost and started to decay but wit a slight Tim Burton vibe to is. The jack will be a ghost...

Yeah, so for example our theme was a gothic graveyard and the yard was set up as the cemetery and the inside of the house set up as a funeral parlor, embalming room, and mausoleum. Our ghost's name was Olivia Jane Smith. Clues were set up in each of the main rooms so in the embalming room we had printed Victorian era post mortem portraits and had a bunch of them scattered around on the table with various other things like embalming guides, funeral service receipts, etc. Some the pictures were...

Last year we took inspiration from an Escape Room that we had went to where the point of the game was to find out the full name of a ghost who's spirit was trapped inside the house. If you could figure out her full name in the correct order then we made a "gift casket" filled with goodies for the winner. Clues were dispersed throughout the house, mixed in with the decorations and was pretty interactive but still allowed the guests to mingle and socialize. It actually turned out to be a...

I forgot to post the rest of my thank-yous, and one of these days (probably when I end up having to get a new phone), I will be able to upload pics again... I apologize - to say my life has been a little chaotic lately would be an understatement.....but on with the thank-yous! I had thanked hallorenescene earlier in this thread, but it can't hurt to say it again...;) Araniella, that cute little pig brought a smile to my face, so for that, I thank you.... hallowmas, I always dig your...

LOL. I actually just went through this as we just moved from NC to the DC area. I called myself sorting through to downsize but in the end out of 8 bins I think I got rid of one small dollar store bag with some cheapo plastic masks in it. :-D I call that progress lol.

Yay! Mine will probably be a mix of Easter & St. Patty's day, even though technically since Easter is so late this year, the St. Patty's day part of them will be late.... Can't help it - I love both holidays! Though I'd trade them all for a second Halloween.... Anyway, I will send anywhere and no limit! Will start sending out the PMs tomorrow...

Yes! I'm kind of bummed because the one thing i'm looking for from last year(the Hocus Pocus neon sign) hasn't been relisted yet.

What are some of the freaks/props you intend to hide the riddles with? You could come up with a riddle about that item.
