i rigged up both of my hangman victims to the same motion sensor and just plugged the 12VDC power supply into a socket fed from it. Works out great!! Hope you have fun with it, looks to be a very cool prop.
Thanks for the comment. Just finished today. The motor came from Monsterguts.com so it runs continuous which is ok. I know a motion detector can be made from an old sensor light module which is a good idea.
