  1. Thanks ELH!

I don't have a tutorial for it, but I do have some sketches somewhere of the underlying frame (no measurements tho). I stuck to that initial design pretty closely. The hull material is all old stockade fence panels I saved from when we replaced our backyard fence at our old house (yes, I moved the ship from Virginia to Georgia), and the main support posts were the old fence posts. The rest of the frame is made from 2x4s. Let me know if you want the sketch. Be warned, however, it's a heavy cumbersome prop. Mine lives in the backyard as a playground piece in the woods

  2. your pirate ship is outstanding. Do you have a tutorial? I want to do one for my yard this year for an upgrade
  3. Not this year. Since we moved, we decided not to do the full display this year, and to take a break. However, I'm working on a Pirate show charity event in November, and will be using a number of my props for that. I'm sure to have pictures from the show, and will share with the forum when they're ready. Keep up the great work and best wishes for your Halloween night!
  4. Do you have any pics of your yard display this year? Thank you for the yard compliments
  5. Thanks ELH!

I made them. It's probably my favorite prop. They're two buckys with a scaryterry board in each head to animate the jaws. The "dancing" motion is generated by a wiper motor that drives a teeter-totter platform under the base of the shack. There's an iron pipe on each end of the teeter-totter to which I attach the skeletons.

    Glad you like it!
