Wilton makes a full round skull mold. http://www.wilton.com/shapedpan/Dimensions-3-D-Skull-Pan I've seen it in Joann's or Michaels, but not this year (haven't been looking tho). Check out candy and cake makers in your area as well. I have a shop in my town that does amazing skulls every year - solid milk or white chocolate, and swirls too...

http://wintercroft.com/collections/masks and his Etsy shop (US pricing): https://www.etsy.com/shop/Wintercroft?ref=l2-shopheader-name Stumbled across these and thought someone might get a kick out of them - there are many beautifully weird ones in the collection and they seem quite affordable considering the amount of design that went into making them (and look like they'd be fun to assemble). Article here:...

Sigh. Nope, not finished at all. Have a bunch of building still to do this weekend and a trip to the big box hardware store for wood and other materials. And we have major supplies still to go for our party too. My Halloween budget is the scariest thing I've seen so far this year.

Neighborhoods are cyclilcal; kids grow up, empty nesters stick around for decades until they move away/pass away, and then younger families move in. Sounds like you might be in the latter half of waiting for some kids to move back into the area, I wouldn't give up, but maybe give yourself permission to scale back a year or two and judge the TOT levels you get and how much work you want to put into it. As long as you still enjoy it, I'd say keep going, since the few kids that come will...

http://www.buycostumes.com/p/17472/rocker-wig-blonde-unisex-adult Jareth wig (pretty much spot on, might need some trimming up tho) LOVE the idea of a 50s Sally. A patchwork poodle skirt, but instead of a poodle, you could have Zero! (or Jack's face). But that would require some sewing skills... This wig might work for Sally: http://www.spirithalloween.com/product/black-and-red-doll-wig/58978.uts?keyword=red%20wig&thumbnailIndex=18 Those would be my two faves on your list anyway (but...

I thought that was the same angel I used for my mini beloved stone, but its just similar. I got mine years ago at Big Lots in the garden statues (it's resin and about 3 foot high, for $15 on clearance). Garden statues are ALWAYS good for use in a cemetery type setting - angels, cherubs, saints, crosses... fall is a great time to find them for cheap. I just finished a creepy little prop this year using a rotating x-mas tree stand ...

Maybe acetate? I use it all the time for art projects, and you should be able to find it at art supply stores (or Amazon really). You can get it in varying sizes and thicknesses, and I've bought them in colors as well. There is also gel sheets used for theatrical applications - comes in colors too. Like these here: http://www.stagelightingstore.com/Stage-Lighting-Store/Gel-Sheets

You might try just stuffing it with plastic bags to make sure it keeps its form and then you could try scotchgarding it... I wouldn't bother myself tho, as I'd like weathered details. :)

I do use a spray bottle filled with a mix of water and a tiny bit of handwashing detergent (like Woolight, but the Dollar store version but you can use any laundry detergent that has phosphorous, about two capfuls for a tiny 10 oz bottle and top off with water). Just mist it on under black light if it needs a refresher. Mostly I like doing it because it's fun seeing the water glow as I'm applying, but it definitely doesn't hurt to refresh.

We've got ground similar to that right now (can't remember the last time it rained and it was a very rainy spring). I am setting up sprinklers tonight and giving it about a half an hour, and will probably do another round or two next week as well. I have done this in the past, and as long as I water a few times in the days leading up to setup, I can get the stakes to go in without too much trouble. As long as there is grass there, the ground will eventually soften up and adsorb the water. ...

Do you have TOT aged kids yourself? If so, I'd send them to school with some flyers for their friends that live in the neighborhood. Do you have a community newsletter? Get an article in there ASAP if so! Post some signs (just like what folks do to direct traffic to their yard sales) at cross streets in your neighborhood. Talk to the neighbors and see if there is any other word of mouth ways to get noticed. Create a Facebook page for your haunt and issue invites? Twitter account and tap your...

Zarko the Headless Clown - $20 costume, $15 mask (both from Oriental Trading), a mannequin I got years ago from craigslist (no darn stand and missing his left hand tho). Stuffed the mask with bags (lucky placement of a Target bullseye created a real eye in the mask hole!) and used an old gardening glove stuffed with newspaper and sewn onto the mask, then taped to the arm. Still need to put on his shoes but he's finished otherwise. :)

Oh that's nifty! I love the effect, and wish I had a window to use it in!! :D And LOVE the crazy clown in your front yard too. Not sure how many sheets of posterboard you ended up needing or if it was better quality, but the Dollar Tree does carry posterboard too (two sheets for a dollar if I am remembering correctly).

What I would suggest is adjusting the cape the way you like it to fall with her arms down, then mark a 1-2 inch section (using chalk) across the tops of her shoulders where the cape overlaps the top seam of the shirt. Then I would sew the cape onto the shoulders through the top seam. If the shirt does not have a shoulder seam, I would still do some careful sewing around the neck and shoulder area using a fine needle to minimize damage... But if the cape is heavy, it still might pull. Better...

I suspect it is the cellphone camera/orientation that is causing the issue. Depending on how you hold your phone when you snap the pic, it decides what is up and down... even if it is incorrect. You'd have to manually download the images, flip them to be correct, and then upload them to post.
