Thanks for the breakdown and fuse idea Kensington. The fuse is an excellent idea! Have you ever seen a set-up using this kind of wire to power speakers?

Yea J-Man, that is what I was thinking. I might try to break the box open, not destroying it. Just never saw anyone use this gauge of wire to power speakers. Thanks

I have never tried this and it might be too thick, but what about using an old car wash shammy?

Thanks Reelsore. A few years back I picked up a homemade prop that consist of a small black wooden box with a couple small 4" car speakers on the sides, (I know car audio usually is a 12v set-up), and then this cable coming from inside the box. In order for me to get inside to look, I would need to basically tear the thing up, and wanted to avoid trashing it. So after googling what was printed on the cover, I didn't have any luck find out more about this bulk cable. So what puzzles...

Hello - I was hoping someone could help identifying some bulk black cable that I have laying around. I would like to add a 3 prong plug to it and use it as a extension cord, but am clueless on what is printed on the outside cover. Here is what is printed: ul c(ul) SJOOW 3/C 18AWG(0.824mm2) 105C VW-1 300v E215210 100281-001 I assume it means 18amps and 300volts but wanted to get some advice from someone that knows what they are doing before I catch something on fire. I would say that it...

That's how mine works. I hide the fogger in a Crypt and then run the fog through a 12' drain pipe with frozen water bottles to a pile of skulls over a trash bag. This was a few years ago.

A sculpt I had created of a witches head was enough to keep my children from even entering the garage, when I put it on a post and draped burlap around it. I laughed at their timidity for a short while, until one evening when I walked into the garage for a soda (fridge in the corner). It was dark, and somehow or another, I had completely forgotten about her. Turned around, there she was, and I about fell over from how badly I was startled. I never told the kids, but I did stop teasing...

I have seen a threat years ago where someone used thin black trash bags.... cut them into strips ( but not all the way through to the bottom of the bag). Then stretch the plastic bag strips and that causes them to be rippled. Spray paint the strips with different greens and browns. You can cut some of the bags in half for smaller 'bunches' of moss. Or Cut the strips to vary the lengths... It really looked great in the pics and would be really inexpensive.

Glad to see you're progressing with the process of living, halo666fear, instead of mouldering along with those who've passed on. It's the greatest gift we can give to those who loved us, once they're no longer here. I'll raise a cup to ya'.

Dane82 hit the nail on the head for my favorite smell... Nothing quite like that smell of a well used Jack-O-Lantern. It's not just the cooked pumpkin flesh, but of char and remnants of fuel from whatever flame was used (my personal favorites are real wax candles, but paraffin is delightful in its own way ). The smell itself is a sort of sentinel, along with the Jack-O-Lantern, having watched over the nights proceedings, giving a feeling of satisfaction and closure when all have gone, and...

Trunk- or-treat is something that many Halloween enthusiasts seem to dislike, but it is also something that is still an inevitability. (there are threads just like this one going back for over a decade - I read them as I dislike trunk-or-treat as well) My personal take on it is; let them have their "thing"...but I'm going to make sure I put on a haunt that makes them want to come trick-or-treating at my place regardless. That's the fun I get out of Halloween - people getting that "wow",...

Congrats on the New home.....sounds like a beauty! Some of the fun part will be the new display set-up.
  7. Well Buckaneerbabe and I were AWOL for this year's Halloween but we did manage to finish building a new house in the mountains and get ourselves and all of our "stuff" moved. It was so much work, I don't think we will ever move again. We are looking forward to Halloween 2013 but we will need to find a new place to set things up. Looks like 2013 will be more about where we setup than what we setup.
