Twas the night of thanksgiving,
but i just couldn't sleep.
I tried counting backwards,
i tried counting sheep.
The leftovers beckoned -
the dark meat and white,
but i fought the temptation
with all of my might.
Tossing and turning with anticipation,
the thought of a snack became infatuation.
So, i raced to the kitchen, flung open the door,
and gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore.
Gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes,
pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes.
I felt myself swelling so plump and so round,
'til all of a sudden, i rose off the ground.
I crashed through the ceiling, floating into the sky,
with a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie.
But, i managed to yell as i soared past the trees....
Happy eating to all - pass the cranberries, please.
May your stuffing be tasty,
may your turkey be plump.
May your potatoes 'n gravy have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious.
May your pies take the prize,
may your thanksgiving dinner stay off of your thighs!!
Hiya BH! I hope all your halloween plans are going great. Sorry I've been away so long but really good to see so many have remained active. I'm gonna go and read around the boards. Love your photo albums. following is my explaination to all board pals: "I have a boss who's had a house land on her sister and she's been extra wicked. I am currently on admin leave WITH PAY. Trying to get the old me back. Have toned down our halloween events this year. Just going to haunt my SIL's house. Mostly make-up and scare the TOTs. Hope I can get on here a little more. HAVE A GREAT HALLOWEEN!!!!!"
Hallow and truly sounds like a beautiful plan! We are hoping to visit the National Parks whenever we get vacation time are looking forward to seeing the new Ken Burns PBS special about the Parks. Ozark has to be one of the top spots on the planet! Lucky you! Thanks again for sharing such beautiful pics.
Hallow Blood~Hound! Just dropped in to say how absolutely beautiful your series of "Just trip'n" photos are! It really put me in the mood for Fall to hurry up and shed some color on our Ohio landscape! We live north of Cincinnati, and have only seen a bit of change on the trees. Keep hoping it will be a good year for Fall colors - but if not, your photos will be a nice way to keep it in mind! Thanks for sharing! and...BOO!
sounds fun. you have a theme. my grandson in the past and his friends helped. worked out great. last year i had to go solo because a girl in his class had a birthday party and so all my haunters were invited. looks like this year is out to. it's called .... he's discovered girls. he is going tot with some friends. the girls are dressing up as bunnies and he wanted to dress up as a pimp. my daughter said no. she said he can be a gangster and i suggested a photographer. i guess he is going with gangster. i don't know what the other guys going are dressing as. we had 75 last year. hope to have more this year. this will be my 4th year at this location. we're doing a witch theme. i will be handing out full size can's of pop and candy bars. then if they go through my haunt and play rat splat, they will get a small bat ring and a dum dum
