I wanted to let you know that four years ago, we hosted a huge neighborhood costume party, but to make things even more interesting, we used all of our collection of Halloween props and decorations to spread out throughout the house and yard in little vignettes and individual props. Then as the guests arrived, they were given a numbered piece of paper and a pen, and were told that they had 30 minutes to go throughout the house and grounds and name as many of the...
Really, Tsalagi_Writer? I haven't read his book, but I'm curious as to what turned you off. I will miss Nick, but still thought that their show was the most real of all the paranormal shows. I'm just so disinterested in the After Shocks shows. It comes across as if they don't have anything new to shows, so they take the easy way out. Kind of like other series take a few weeks hiatus in the middle of a season.
I flood my Haunt a lot, as I want to make sure everyone sees it. Too many times, I see Haunts, pro also, use to little lighting, and was hard to see anything. If it want to show off an entire scene, or a specific prop, you need to control the lighting too. Color mixing is very important to me, as I just don't want a single color to be seen.
I went to TJ Maxx today, not much more than an endcap and 1/2......
BUT....... I found the one thing I wanted more than ever this year....Check out my carriage hearse!
(It doesn't come with the skeleton driver, I added that myself) :)
Like Magickbean, we too are turning our yard into a swamp scene with voodoo tweaks. We're calling it Blackwater swamp and we have alligators, snakes, spiders, and even a wolf that I have created using one of those moving wired reindeer you can find everywhere at Christmas. It looks awesome! We're building a bridge for the TOTs to cross over the "water" - it's actually silver mylar - and then they will enter Marie LeVeau's cabin. I will be reading fortunes and they will have to risk putting...
Has anyone else been disappointed in this season's Ghost Adventures program? Seems like all they have done is re-hash old episodes with the people who were involved. No new sites and scares. I usually love that show, but it's been real ho hum lately. Have I missed something?
I think 2011 was the busiest Cemetary we did over the years, as we got tons of prop that year and put anything that fited it. Now, we put about 30% of our huge collection of props in the front yard.
