hi CC! well, we are back for the night, will go back out tomorrow, not too bad , it has been pretty empty in the park so far, this week end was a bit busy, next week end is going to be crazy busy,. , am a bit nervous, especially about the craft thing, but have a few ideas, so we will see,, we have to once a day wipe the sinks and counters down, and make sure there is tp in the stalls, don't have to clean the floor or the toilets, and walk thru the park at least once a day, checking stuff out and chatting people up, on the weekends furnish coffee, and a local grocery store provides day old donuts, we do hot water for tea and hot cocoa too,, we have tables set up with books, pamplets about the areas, color books and games and toys for the kids, that is all provided by the park,we also have $ that we can use to buy the craft stuff, and the coffee, cups,. etc.. so far we haven't spent any.. there was stuff left or we bought it . it is so beautiful out there this time of the year, especially when there are hardly any others in the camp ground ! LOL!!!!!!
just wanted to stop over and say HEY! Hope you're having a great time at the campground.
Well, Hello, I have been remiss in getting over here to check up on you, how are you doing? No, did not get my first choice of sites, but did get my 2nd, it is a wooded large corner, so should be good! Now the park we camp at during the summer, our favorite is starting a Halloween festival,so next year have to make a big decision, ' well, off to work, but will get back soon, I promise to catch you up on things! take care!!!!!!!
hey lady. Did you get the site you wanted?
wel, it is coming along, slow but sure, I haven't been in the basement, but got a couple dresser drawers cleaned out in my BR, and my junk drawer in the kitchen, so am making a bit of progress, need to get to the basement big time,, but it is so over whelming,, actually we went up north to a little town we like right on Lake Michigan, called Manestee, we have camped there, but lately we stay in a motel,, they have a casino there we like to go to, stayed in the hotel there for the first night, then moved to another, they have a lot of cute little stores, the down town is all old victorian buildings, and the houses in town are too,, we had a nice relaxing time,,, how have you been feeling? the geneology search sounds interesting,, I can see why you are hooked!
a-hem... how's the organizing coming along? and where, exactly, did you go for 4 days? You weren't camping in the freezing cold, were you?
well,, I;m baacckk!! muhahaha!! I have a lab coat I got once at a thrift store and have been hanging on to it with the hopes of doing a lab,,right now need to figure out how to make a lab and what kind,,, wa nt the witches hut bigger too, and need to figure out how to get that set up better too, got a new brown tarp. but want to make everything strudier,, not sure about using the foam insulation stuff, pretty expensive, but looks better,,,, need to do something about the fcg too,, all are about the same,, side/walls that can be transported, set up/tore down easy. but be sturdy and look good.... any ideas?
well, didn't get anything done, but was gone Thursday til Saturday up north, so I think I can be excused for that reason,,, right teach? LOL!! the bottle sounds interesting,,, I have a couple of big plastic ones that hubby got pickled sausages in, have been hanging on them for the lab, No, I don't think the indians were drinking coffee! well, better go to work, will get back later in the day--- take care!
It's Monday and I'm here to nag you about what you did this past weekend. LOL get any organizing done? get any snow? btw- it's going to be near 70 degrees here on Wed. & Thurs. For your lab... i saw a huge glass jar at Walmart, near the baking stuff. It's about 13 dollars, but a perfect size to put a head. Have you checked thrift stores? I found a doctor's jacket (& scrubs) at our thrift store. Speaking of glass... When we lived in Virginia, every time it rained real hard, tiny glass medicine bottles would rise to the surface in our yard. They were really old; not sure how old; wish I kept them. Sometimes it was just pieces of the glass. Even saw old coffee cup pieces a couple of times. Chief Powhatan (Pocahontas' daddy) used to live in that county, so there was alot of history there. But I don't think the Indians were using those coffee cups. lol Will keep my fingers crossed that y'all get the site you want.
well, you are most welcome! and nag away,,, I might actually get something done, I got a bit done yesterday, had 4 new totes, filled them. threw the boxes in the trash, very slow going , but it is something,,might get to working today yet,we are getting alot of snow right now, well, we have about 2-3 inches already and just a bit ago it kicked in high gear. so we are in for more! we can make reservations 6 months in advance, so about the 7th or 8th of April we will call.. depending on what day we decide to go. wow, that guy sounds so creepy, man, if he just like Halloween he would of not been skulking around like that! I have been going to do a lab for a few years now but just never get it going, if I get that site - it will be perfect for it. last year had a smallish site so never made anything for it- but this year,, am hopeful. I have a few things in a box saved,. big jars to keep body parts in, etc. a lab coat. I am not sure how I want to do this. if I want the "monster" laying down on a table or standing. I want a mad scientist doctor, that monster, lots of creepy lab stuff.. Igor would be cool too, if i can pull all of it off,, would love Igor to greet people in a walk thru, but am not tech savvy - I love it when the kids get excited about what they see.. then the building. used to do crafts, now I prop build! LOL!
