Thanks BB,last year I had a sorta fence across th front of my cemetary with pvc and string of lights. I found some black rope and black and orange rope this year, seeing as I have a few pcv posts already made, am planning on using that. I really enjoyed the picture from you friends sites, those were big campsites!! I absolutely love the angel teacher and the student running!! Made me excited about going, even though it's a while, I love it so!! I guess I was just worried that I would have too much, I don't want it to look cluttered, but have what I want it to look like in my head, even though it never turns out that way. at least it is a start! I guess as long as I space it out in a sorta organized fashion it should be ok. What the plans are, sorta are a entry gate, reaper there, just out side, a little ways in, the witch coven, of course the tombstones, skellys, etc., then on the other side, a ways down, vampire with victim, I am going to try a experiment with animation, don't know if it'll work, will keep you posted, with the were wolf just among the tomstones, and fcg sitting toward the back. In front of the fifthe wheel the lab area.Ihope it flows ok. I know it's just camping and a short time frame, but I want to do it good! Thank you , I am pretty excited the werewolf turned out pretty good, I m pretty new to sculpting! Working on his body now.. Am going to post when he is done!
Wow Bethene, I just saw you photo album, everything looks great!! See you already have the right idea! Oh, and your werewolf is looking great!! Maybe all you need is to find a way to make the walk thru path, you could get some wood pickets and pound them in a few feet apart and run some Halloween lights between them to make out the path. Or if you get energetic you can make some posts and or fencing. That could be something for another year after you know how much you'll need. If you want to set up a tarp, just find the darkest corner and wrap the sides up with something so the kiddies just walk past it to see but not touch. Put like your lab in there with some jars that glow, black light and your mad scientist. All this is just some ideas I came up with but I know you'll make it even better than I imagined!!!!!
OK Bethene, just go to my photobucket and then friends campsite. I posted pics from 3 different campsites. The first is the u shaped walk through that I think you'll like. And then another camp with very few pics but when you come to Mike's you'll see how he spread out his groupings. Let me know what you think.
The first thing I do is make my list of everything going and then draw out a layout plan, keeping in mind I never really know where I will be set up. If you have some vignettes or little groupings it will work. Last year the people next to us, (4 year in a row champs) had maybe 5 or 6 different settings. One was a pirate scene, he had a mad scientist, trash can trauma scene, and a couple others, but since he spread it out, different groups of people would go from one scene to the next. It worked out well. I think this will look great just plan ahead want will look best together. Like your witches, add a spell book, maybe a black cat or bats, just about anything you like that fits with the scene. I have some pis of 2 different campsites (my buddies) that I took last year. I'll post them to my photo bucket and put them in a folder titled "friends campsites" There is one who had a u shaped walk thru that I think is along the lines of what your thinking of.
Hi BB, hope your week end is going good!! I have a couple of questons I want to ask you, seeing as I know you do a campground haunt. I have 2 pretty big lots, not sure how I want to set up, have to determine fire pit area, etc, I want to do a walk through grave yard, and am doing classic monsters, so am working on a werewolf, am doing a vampire, and possibley a victim, I am adding 2 more witches, and doing a MacBeth thing, sorta. I had planned on doing a lab with Dr. Frankenstein. I guess my question would be, if I did the were wolf, witches and vampires scattered through out the cememtary, on each side of a path -that' s the hope anyway, do you think that is too many props, or too cluttered? And I want to put the lab area in front of the fifth wheel so it'll be somewhat seperate. I really would like to do a leer, but don't know if I will get to it, and will have a fcg, but those will blend in with the cemetary well, so do you think it is too much? If so , in your opinion, would you elminate any? I want it to look cool , not too overwhelming. The first site I have alot of woods to play with, and just put things in, the other site is big but more open. Any tips woould be appreciated, I just want it to be good!!
