  1. Good morning Baron!

    Any new horror movies?

Just got The Universal Cult Horror Collection:

    Includes:House Of Horrors
    Murders In The Zoo
    The Mad Ghoul
The Strange Case Of Doctor X

An entertaining group of old Universal horror classics. Much better than today's.

    Have a great day.

  3. Good morning Baron!

Had a quite Halloween. Trying to start up an annual Halloween party with my Golden Opportunities Group ( age 50 plus)

Watched recently The Shining, Halloween ( the first), Friday the 13th ( the first) and a few of my Boris Karloff Thriller TV series dealing with the supernatural.

    Good hearing from you.

    Have a great weekend!

  4. Good morning TC.
    Long time no chat!
Hope you had a good Halloween.
Caught any good Horror flicks lately??

  5. Good morning TC.
Ah yes! Edgar G Ulmers classic pairing of the "Masters of Menace"!
A great movie, very atmospheric I agree. It was originally released in the UK as "The House of Doom".
This film gave Bela the chance to be the "good guy" for a change. He was never overly happy with being typecast as a horror actor and would much rather have played romantic, leading man roles. When asked in an interview if he enjoyed being known as a horror actor, he shrugged his shoulders and replied..."It's a living...."

Enjoy the movie, and the rest of the weekend.

    Kind regards,

    Baron S.
  6. Good morning Baron!

Here is a great atmospheric film with the great pairing of Karloff & Logosi:

    The Black Cat

Think I'll give it a viewing today between chores.]

    Have a great day!

  7. Good evening TC.
I hope this finds you well.
I'm not a great sci-fi fan, I'm afraid. I prefer my horror a little more Gothic and atmospheric, There are a few that I enjoy. The original "Thing from another world" and "war of the worlds" to name a couple.
I don't recall seeing "Kingdom of the spiders" although I do agree with you about the new CGI effects...I don't like them either. I'd much rather see some of the stop motion animation from the likes of Ray Harryhausen in "20 million miles to earth" or "Valley of Gwanji".

I like your signature picture of Lon Chaney in "London after Midnight"...It's such a terrible shame that no prints of the original film are known to survive.

Wishing you a great week ahead.

    Kind regards,

    Baron S.
  8. Good morning Baron.

One of my favorite sci-fi/ horror movies was called The Kingdom Of The Spiders starring Trekkie William Shatner. It was a 1977 film!

Have you ever seen this one?

The best part is that they use REAL spiders not all this computer animation junk. It's OK but they use it far too much.

    Have a great day!
