You are very welcome and thank you for the picture comments also. We almost went whale watching while we were there but I tend to get motion sickness sometimes so, we decided against it. We also so a couple monk seals and we saw a turtle and the blow hole (down the street a ways) I WISH I would have seen whales breaching while sitting on the beach! That's VERY cool!! Did you ever get a chance to go to the cemetery? I'm glad you had a nice trip.. I know what ya mean about the kids. That how the first trip to Kauai was for us. Gotta love em... or you would kill them. lol You do have a long night ahead of you and I agree that sleeping on a plane is miserable! My hubby tried to save a few bucks one year and bought flights that took 12 hours from here (I'm in Southern California) Needless to say, he never did that again! lol I never let him forget that either.. lol I hope you have a safe trip home.. Vacation is nice but it's always nice to get home to you own bed too! Talk to you later!
Thank you very much for the picture comments. I love it when I get a visitor, such as you, to look at my haunt. It makes me feel like Halloween is still here. I had a great time this year. I wish I had a few more visitors, but with Halloween on a Monday I’m sure everyone’s numbers are down. So I’m sitting here on the beach at Wiaohai. We are watching the whales. Several of them are very energetic and are jumping completely out of the water. We also saw two Monk Seals this morning and a couple turtles the other day. We really had a good time (if you can ignore the few spats between the kids). Unfortunately this is our last day. The flight goes out at 11:30 tonight. I first fly to LAX, then to Dallas and then to Denver. It is going to be a long night. I’m not looking forward to it. Plus sleeping on a plane sucks anyway. Well thanks for the comments!
My hubby is not into Halloween but he is a good sport and humors me.. lol We were in Kauaii last year and thats when I noticed that sign and asked him to drive down there so I could take a peek and maybe take some pictures. He rolled his eyes but he did it. If you go, be sure to go into the wooded area.. there are tombstones in there!! That's the cool part! The hubby doesn't beleive in ghosts or anything but he even said.. "Come on.. lets go.. it's a little creepy" lol Have fun and thank you for the early birthday wishes!
Thank you. Yes I had a great birthday here. I noticed yours is coming up so an early happy b-day to you. So I must have passed that cemetery fifty times and never noticed the sign, but I did see it today. The wife is not too excited to see it, so I will have to go on my own. Is your husband into Halloween as much as you? Do you often visit grave sites? Is this research for your display?

OMG!!! We stayed at the same place!! I must tell you though that we liked the Marriott closer to Lahue better.. But you can't beat the weather in Poipu. Have you eaten at Keoki's Paradise (across the street)? They have a Parmesan and herb crusted opah (I think that's how it spelled.. not ono) fish.. TO DIE FOR!! The filet mignon was the best I've had in years (and my hubby is a meat cutter..lol) I highly recommend it!!! The cemetery is before you get to the tunnel of trees.
Well that is funny. We are at the Marriott Waiohai at Poipu, Hale 2. We are having a wonderful time. We have been to this island several times as well. Love it here and we don’t want to come home. Thursday I’m going scuba diving for the first time. I’m excited. The first few days the wind was fairly strong, but this last week the wind almost disappeared. We have not seen rain for the same period. Unfortunately we will be leaving Saturday. I’m bummed.
I'm jealous!! We also went to Kauai.. I love that island! We have been there three times in the last 11 years. Are you staying in Poipu or are you up near Princeville? We stayed at the Marriott in Poipu this last time. The weather wasn't the best we've had but ya can't really complain about 78 degrees. Are you doing any outings while there? How long do you get to stay?? Tell me all about it!! lol Hope your having a WONDERFUL time! oh!! by the way... there is a REALLY cool Cemetery in Poipu!!! You should check it out!
Kymmm, I ran across your name when conversing with Gobby. I noticed you just came back from Hawaii. I’m also currently vacationing in Hawaii with the family. What island did you visit? We are enjoying the Kauai sun. The first few days were a little rainy and windy, but it has calmed down and has been a beautiful 80 degrees every day. Anyway hope you are having a great new year.
