I definitely am in the Halloween mood at times other than Fall. For instance, I am right now (probably the weather, as you mentioned). For me it comes in waves every few weeks or so; I'll be in a summery mood or focused on other hobbies besides Halloween/horror, and then all of a sudden I'll see or hear something (a new product, cool movie, etc) that'll kickstart that Halloween feeling again

Yeah! Unless it is just on the Canadian version. But even if you don`t like the movie, see the process of it being made is still pretty neat. I will add those to my list! Thanks a lot. There was a Canadian indie movie I watched last week, called Bloody Knuckles. It is ridiculous...but fun. The Strangers is on there and if you haven`t seen it, you must! Its a slower burn, and has that indie feel to it. The Shrine is also another neat movie. Not a huge budget, but neat premise.

Oh cool, I didn't realize they had extra stuff for 31! I haven't seen it yet, so maybe I'll check it out :D For recommendations, I'd probably say "I Am A Ghost" and "We Go On." Both are ghost movies (of course). If the first were a book, it'd be a page-turner; it had me wondering what was going to happen next and what the underlying story was. The second had likeable characters that I enjoyed watching on their journey to find out if we "exist" after death. I'm also going to throw...

Yeah! I agree. Some obscure titles that can be hard to come by, for sure. I also really enjoyed the Bonus Features they added for 31, and hope they keep adding more special features with the new films they add. I wish they had a smart tv app, too. I was using a 1st generation Apple TV, and wasn`t able to access Shudder through it. Apparently with newer Apple TVs you are able to download Shudder through it. But I am just using an HDMI from my laptop to my TV for now. Other than that,...

I love it! Mostly because they have a pretty big variety of Japanese horror, which can be hard to find sometimes. I've had it for about a month and a half now and couldn't be happier. I got it because I thought that Netflix was giving me some pretty crappy titles to work with, so I looked at Shudder's collection and the decision to buy was pretty easy. My only dislike is that they don't have an app for Smart-TVs (like Apple TV or Amazon Fire) yet, so I have to watch on a computer for now. ...

I recently signed up for SHUDDER. Essentially the Netflix for Horror Films. For anyone who hasn't, you can get a free week. For people who are signed-up, what are your thoughts? Any film recommendations?

Awesome finds, everyone! I've been slowly buying some various figures to creepify for Halloween 2017. Just small little accent pieces. And does anyone happen to know who the bust on the left is supposed to be of?

Hey everyone! I have been trying to make the most of the off-season and what feels like a never ending winter. I've been hitting up some local thrift stores to buy figurines and other knick-knacks to creepify. Here is an example of a work in progress: Before: After a quick coat of paint: I also found this cool little statue bust. I thought it had an Edgar Allan Poe/Haunted Mansion vibe to it. I plan on leaving it as is...for now ;)

If I remember correctly, I saw this on Netflix a while ago. Not too shabby. Recently I watched "I Am A Ghost" and "Dead Girl." Dead girl was OK, but I Am A Ghost surprisingly creeped me out near the end. It as actually pretty good I think and had me glued to my seat because I wanted more of the story.

What about Scarecrows? Ravens If you have access to some corn stalks they could be used on either side of your stage with your jack o lanterns around them. Add some small hay bales and pumpkins to the tables? tree branches painted black in pots are cheap to make

Here's the wave light but look around u might find it cheaper. It runs off battery so no need for cords but it does shut off after 1 hour but it's easy to turn back on. They need dim light to b visible but they r pretty bright (I used them for my pirate party) https://ariani-shop.com/s/168715

Omg love it all....it's gonna b awesome!!!! I tried doing the goblet of fire using tulle, a curling iron and spray sealer....but it just didn't work. What u might try doing is use a flame light but switch out the red/orange color lenses for blue.. Or u could try using something like the Aurora wave lights (it has 4 or 5 color options)...u could tape some celo-wrap to it (kinda like flames) then when u turn on the light the blue wave should bounce off the celo-wrap and loop like blue...

Split (2017) - a man with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) kidnaps three girls with a promise to show them "the beast." Not bad. I generally like Shyamalan movies, even though he gets a bad wrap. A more suspenseful, drawn out horror than one with jumpscares, which I liked. With the exception of a few times I thought the characters made incredibly dumb decisions, I thought it was pretty well made. And major props to James McAvoy with an absolutely amazing performance! Oscar-worthy indeed!

Love those!!! I considered glass myself but just couldn't figure out a way to get the hourglass look...I think wine bottles would definitely work...might have to use that e6000 to glue them together. As for the frame, my original idea was using long wooden plaques from the craft store with dowels and gears (all painted gold like the original...that might work out pretty good with the wine bottles (especially if u sandwiched 2 together for the top and bottom so u can cut out recesses like I did...

K here's the only pics I think I took during construction of the points counter. It was kinda a pain (making sure everything lined up) but not hard at all...and fairly inexpensive too.. the biggest expense was the glitter at $2.50 for each bottle (walmart)...don't use spray adhesive...IT DID NOT DRY CLEAR...I just used poly

I also used old Karaoke machines, tape players and I found one of those 3" screen black and white tvs that just plays "snow" ( I don't really know what that's called, lol) you can easily use paint to cover logos or just make them look old
