Ah, now I see how those are done. Super impressive and that artistry of the dragon head is amazing as well. Hope you don't mind but I embedded the video for you. You use the filmstrip button in the posting box.

i know i can't be the only one who thought of this concept. Making this cheesy looking flying ghost into a creepy looking ghoul. I was thinking about purchasing one and completely redoing its features or taking their ghost off the motor and attaching my own. has anyone done this or know how this can easily be accomplished? thanks!

What an awesome thread and perfect timing. Just had gone through my parents pictures last week and found a picture of a tiny Terra: My mom made this costume. The broom is sewn on the robe and just had to pretend to hold it ;)

I use the PL300 foam board adhesive for the PVC channels but Glidden Gripper (both sides) for the flat surface of the foam board itself. You see - if there is air then the foam board adhesive would work (great for the PVC channels) but when I used to carve into the flatter sides of the board I would discover that it never dried and gunked up my carving tools. That's why I switched the Glidden Gripper for that area. I just tried sanding the two sides of the board before gluing with Glidden...

This whole thing was a surprise for me but also I must stress that I'm okay with it. It got to be quite the conversation over at Facebook so I crafted this reponse which encapsulates how I'm feeling about the whole thing: https://www.facebook.com/terra.lair/posts/787169324656079 My view of Grandin Road and my version of Beloved: I am not upset but probably not for the reason most would think. Thanks all. Love that workshop too. When we told my friends that I was making one of the bedrooms a workshop they were like, "Whaaaa?" Hey, Reapee - did a lot of productive work on your stone so far. Here's a hint for you - your theme for the stone is something I never would have come up with on my own without your 'likes' list ;) Exotic...

All the walls are constructed (4' x 7') and put in place. Grout lines added to each 1/2" foam panel. 3 of the 10 electronic torch sconces have been wired into the panels. These aren't the most recent pictures but here are a couple more: This is the torch I am using. It was the most realistic I could find. It is 110volt with an on/off switch. There is a fan in the base which blows several pieces of thin white silk upwards. Two small orange/red bulbs illuminate the silk from both...

The pipe that Fright Prop uses is actually a metal pipe like the kind you get at Home Depot.

It's 4 feet long and the air pressure depends on how vigorous you want them to wiggle. I had mine dialed pretty low so they didn't beat you to death and didn't over-tax my air compressor because I had 4-6 other props running off my 20 gal compressor (poor thing). I can't exactly remember the psi but it was probably around 30-60. Looking at Fright Props looks like they may have gone to softer tubing but I'd even go further and try surgical rubber tubing perhaps:...

Air whips are notorious air hogs so it's important to have just as many air whips in the unit that you need. How many or what use are you thinking for it? Here's the one I bought from Fright Props years ago: If it is going to hit the legs of the ToTs think of the little ballerinas that go through and use soft rubber whips instead of these plastic ones.

    Hello Attain,
I saw the Southeastern PA home haunters group you are a member of and it says it's for haunters in the TriState area. I'm in Northern NJ and was wondering if I'm too far from your geographical area? Thanks.

  9. That does sound like a lot. How do you plan to do the chair? I always wanted to have one of those. I will talk to the wifey about the craft show. I'm sure she would be interested in helping out.

I think I am going a little mish mosh this year. I am moving the graveyard to the backyard I hope!
my plan is to have the kids come in out front past a toxic spill then past 3 witches and the cauldron. Then proceed to the backyard past the 9' scarecrow to the rocking rocking chair with no one in it then finally the graveyard then dumped into the neighbors yard! I hope I can pull it off.
If the wife wants we are having a craft fair at a fire house on Oct.24 and I am still in need of people to sell things.
