How about making a simulated room outdoors that the ToT's have to walk through....test the stars under blacklight to see if they pop, if they do cover the walls with it and get a dual 48" florescent light & 2 blacklight tubes. Then get an all black morphsuit, cut out extra stars and use fabric glue to adhere them onto the dark suit in the same pattern as the walls......You would in effect disappear along the wall and the ToT's would not even know you are there. Not enough time for this year...

Always something to do as we're coming down to the wire. I finished a new prop for my graveyard and think a good spot for it would be right in the front corner where the ToT's turn to come up my driveway. Turned out ok though I'll have to make a white cover next year for the inside top of the casket.

Hallowindow looks terrific blasted onto the side of the house. Those bouncing skele's are always a favorite :) You embed the video bu copying the URL in the box that opens up when you select the Filmstrip icon in the dialog box.

Major kudos! This is a fantastic build! I've always wanted to do this and I am sure others as well so maybe we could use your build as an inspiration and guideline to dive in and take the plunge! Quick question....do you have any issues with straws falling out...etc?, what kind of glue did you use? Thanks for posting this. Great job on the build.

The brown is a great color for a tombstone. Your cracks are the best I've seen - I just can't quite get the knack for those, heh.

You may want to explore the music genre called Epic Music. It's the songs used in movie trailers. They are heart-pounding and some can be just a bit scary enough for Halloween but not overly so. Here's a couple of examples:

Ugly Joe has a great point. To add to that - what brand of fake blood are you using? I used PermaBlood from Pale Night Productions and it was thick enough not to get soaked into the expanding foam.

Wow, Diabolik! What great ideas to quickly (and lightly) bulk out a zombie. Hope you don't mind but I'd like to toss into this that you can go to Level: Bananas! by further manipulating hardware cloth. It really is a prop maker's go-to cloth. It's a supreme medium to fold, bend and pinch into exactly what you want. When making Terra I took many of the following ideas from LaurieBeast's, The Vampiress tutorial. A dress form is a helpful start to form the top of the torso. Here you can see...

Sounds like you are looking for more modern Halloween songs. Here's a few you may like: Cry Little Sister (Lost Boys) - Aiden Them Bones - Alice in Chains Down in a Hole - Alice in Chains Man in the Box - Alice in Chains This Blood - Black Lab A Stone's Throw - Black Lab So Cold - Breaking Benjamin The Final Test (Saw) - Charlie Clouser

Hopefully we can find why you aren't getting a lot of sand residue using Drylok. Before use it's thoroughly stirred to get the silica distributed top to bottom in the can. I do not thin it all. It is applied with a 1 1/2 angled brush and I make sure that the final brush strokes are always downward so you start to see the grain of the sand start to develop. The first coat will give you an essence of the stone-look but it's imperative that two coats are applied. The second coat's silica starts...

    Hello Attain,
I saw the Southeastern PA home haunters group you are a member of and it says it's for haunters in the TriState area. I'm in Northern NJ and was wondering if I'm too far from your geographical area? Thanks.

  9. That does sound like a lot. How do you plan to do the chair? I always wanted to have one of those. I will talk to the wifey about the craft show. I'm sure she would be interested in helping out.

I think I am going a little mish mosh this year. I am moving the graveyard to the backyard I hope!
my plan is to have the kids come in out front past a toxic spill then past 3 witches and the cauldron. Then proceed to the backyard past the 9' scarecrow to the rocking rocking chair with no one in it then finally the graveyard then dumped into the neighbors yard! I hope I can pull it off.
If the wife wants we are having a craft fair at a fire house on Oct.24 and I am still in need of people to sell things.
