isn't that the truth, things add up so quickly! they seem cheap when you look at the single price, but yeah, adds up quick, I have to get to my Hobby Lobby and look, it was 66 % last time I was there, but I know the ad this week said 80% off, will have to see what else they have . I probably should get a dremel at some point, , it seems to do such nice work, oh well, maybe some day!
Hey bethene, yes my sailor tombstone is my own design, thanks to my dremel I was able to recess around the anchor and up to the outside edge, then I used an exacto knife to carve the epitaph. I was able to find a pattern for the waves on http://www.fotosearch.com/clip-art/scroll.html you will have to check out the site but make sure you have some time to spend they have millions of clipart, I used a dremel on the waves also. I went to Hobby Lobby and bought a few things for 80% off you really have to watch yourself even at 80% off it adds up quick.
hi Arlita, sorry didn't see the post about the tombstone right away, I answered it in the thread, but thought I would pop in here too, yes it is a tombstone that I bought at the Dollar Tree, with the flare thingy from Hobby Lobby, a little paint, some liquid nails, and there ya go! I used foam letters on the coolers because they are too thin to carve letters in, tried it with the first one I did, and went right thru it!
I am fine glad it's Friday Saturday is my only day off I have two jobs that keep me busy. But you do what you have to do to survive. I am working on gathering some more pics from previous years to add to my album.
