Hey buddy Guess what? I won Best Static Prop for the 2011 Home Haunter's Video Contest!!!!!!!! Check out my blog post: http://2ndstreetcemetary.blogspot.co...04/we-won.html -Curl
I hope you win the contest! Once again, that vid totally rocked! I got to try that out next year. Maybe you can share some tips on video editing closer to that time. I'm going to add your blog to my Favs, so I can keep in touch. Who knows, I just may get into blogging too. I have seen many Halloween type blogs while searching for new ideas, and they do have some very stuff out there. Check ya later!
I'm glad that you like the vid I'm excited about it being added to the collection of haunt vids on the Home Haunter's DVD. Even if I don't place, at least it will be more exposure to the haunt world. I have no idea what has been going on around the forum for the past couple of months. I've really taken to blogging this year and it's been extremely fulfilling I miss my peeps on here though. Some people on here have blogs, but not most. I try to pop in here every now and again to touch base with a few people. Posting pictures has become a pain in the butt though. I don't know if the forum changed the way things are posted, or it it's just harder from my Mac. I still haven't completely figured that wacky computer out yet Anyway, you should get into blogging. You'd like it and a lot of great haunters are there (PumpkinRot & Chris of Davis Graveyard). Planning for 2012 is all ready underway! Check my blog for updates =) I'm more consistant with updating there. Hope you're doing well -Curl http://2ndstreetcemetary.blogspot.com/
Hey! I've had a blast this holiday season. Hope yours was the same! Looking forward to checking out new stuff for next year. I watched your Halloween vid, it totally rocks! I hope you win the contest. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my Halloween pics. What have I missed these past months?
Hey buddy! It's been a while since I've heard from you. Hope all is well and that you had a great New Year I'm entering a Home Haunter's Video contest this year. I thought that you might want to check out my submission =) Let me know what you think: http://2ndstreetcemetary.blogspot.co...011-video.html
Happy Belated Halloween! I hope that you had a great Halloween this year to make up for missing it last year. I've yet to post my pictures, but I hope to get them up over the weekend. Looking forward to seeing yours!
I did really well over the weekend I finished my Gorey urn, I construced my new countdown tombstone (just needs paint now) and I put the first coat of paint on my Shakespeare stone, oh, I also started drawing out the shape for my Master Gracey stone. I still need to finish Jack's hands... I really, really REALLY need to get on the ball with that. Don't want it to go overlooked again... I'd be so mad at myself! LOL I also need to get started on the other stained glass window. The last time that I went to Walmart, they didn't have any more flat white bed sheets, so I need to check again this weekend. I haven't posted my pictures here yet, but if you want to take a peek at my blog you can see what I've accomplished so far: http://2ndstreetcemetary.blogspot.com/ Well, a garage sale sounds like a good idea! You can use the profits to buy more Halloween stuff LOL!
Well, how did you fare over the long weekend? Get all those projects started? I got to give you props with the work on Jack. Superb sculpting skillzzz! What's next for you? I started cleaning up the shop just to be able to work in it. Might have to have a garage sale with all the crap that came out! LOL
WoW! I need your organization skills! I think I have a lil' touch of ADD. I have trouble sticking to one project and finishing it before I move on to another. Like you, I planned to be less stressed for sure. I believe the stress factored in to me catching the stomach bug last year. Anyways, you've got a big list to do, but spreading it out should lower the stress of finishing. And I can't wait to see if your hubby pulls off the pepper's ghost effect. I have been looking into that this year too. However, I think it will be a next year's project considering that you really need a controlled scene setup that compliments the effect. Good luck with all those projects! I know you'll have a great setup again this year. Just don't forget to post those pics as you go. It helps us slackers find some moviation. BTW: 12oz curls while painting prop hands does count as gym time! .... seriously.... I've asked professionals. I bet you could at least convince the hubby that it's true! LOLOLOLOL! Have a great week. I'll check with ya later.
Here's my schedule: Week 1 - Aug. 1 - 6: Complete Stingy Jack's neck and face reconstruction (all PM/clay/paint). Complete Shakespeare tombstone. Week 2 - Aug. 7 - 13: Complete Jack's hand sculpt & buy more foam for MORE tombstones. Week 3 - Aug. 14 - 20: Paint and finalize Jack's hands. Carve new Halloween countdown stone. Week 4 - Aug. 21 - 27: Complete Countdown stone & paint Edward Goery urn Week 5 - Aug. 31 - Sept. 5/6 (extended 5 day weekend): Complete Goery urn and begin and complete new stained glass window project. So, like I said, things aren't exactly being completed when I wanted them to be completed, but I think by the end of the 5 week schedule, I'll have everything on the list done... all at once Next week, I'll plan my schedule for the last 4 weeks before Oct. 1st
