Long time not see! I'm so sorry for your family's loss - that is wonderful at least that you had such a close relationship with your MIL and I'm sure she cared about you very much. WOW about the job sitch! That's good that the nasty boss is mostly gone and soon to be completely gone. I know how hard it is to work with difficult people and it SUCKS. I ended up getting the flu during Halloween and did a half-arsed job setting up since I was running a fever and needed to get away from exposing all the TOTS. At least I've got lots of props that got very little exposure last year. Glad to see you back here!!
Wow, it's been a long, LOng, LONG, time. Still off work, but still being paid for it. The evil, wicked witch boss "retired." I am of the opinion that it was to avoid law suits from me (and others that have had recent and/or ongoing issues). The problem is that was around thanksgiving, and she's still "haunting" the school. Basically they have finally just hired a replacement, so they kept the witch around to do what she does, both working and tormenting people. Hopefully it won't be much longer. The good news, aside from her being all but gone, I have had a wonderful and long vacation! I have been working on my art (gee, I should post some pics) and am getting ready to get it displayed and sold. I have had lots of time to spend with my very ill mother-in-law, who has since died (feb 11). I had hoped to take her on one more across country trip. Actually was planning one last year when evil boss denied my vacation request to take 15 days... which I had accumulated. She said it was too long. Now I've been off work for over five months. Guess that 15 days wasn't too much. I told her that I feared this would be my last chance to take MIL across to see family and everything, but she still denied the request. And here we are. My own mother is going to be moving in with us at the end of the month. She is suffering minor dementia. We hope it works out, she can be difficult. But she's 86 now, it's my turn to take care of her. I think all this mom illness stuff has brought my husband and I closer. It's been interesting. The kids and grand daughter are all doing well. Halloween was fun. We did haunt my sister-in-laws. Got a bunch of screamers... my favorites. I would like to step it all up a bit next year, but we'll see. Hmmmm, guess that's it for me. I am amazed that it's been so long already since I posted last. I hope all is going great for you. I LOVE your 2009 haunt photos. Looks like you stayed busy and it turned out great. Take care.

Hey I love the crow with eyeball. Those could sell on ebay. Haven't been around for so long... thought I owe the holiday at least a fly by. I hope you are having a wonderful haunting season... and that the MIL and dog isn't being a PITA. following is my explaination to all board pals: "I have a boss who's had a house land on her sister and she's been extra wicked. I am currently on admin leave WITH PAY. Trying to get the old me back. Have toned down our halloween events this year. Just going to haunt my SIL's house. Mostly make-up and scare the TOTs. It was good... great turn out at the haunt, and great feedback. I'm sure lucky with my MIL... as a matter of fact will be spending tues through friday in the motor home and she'll be with us. Now, my own mother, that's another story. LOL Sorry to hear the numbers were down. Do you have any idea for what reasons?
Halloween was good, not great, but good this year. Numbers were down. No MIL for the rest of the year, thank goodness! (I think I filled my MIL quota for the next 20 years!) Hope your Halloween was good!
