I ended up using one of those totes/storage bin thingies. I wasn't too happy with the way it turned out. I just used a section of dryer tube that went straight across the bottom of the tote lengthwise, instead of using a longer section and coiling it around. I put regular ice surrounding the tubing and it worked for about 1-2 feet in front of it, then lifted right away. I then put some dry ice in the tube itself and it made it another foot or so, but not much. This was all indoors with no wind. Once I put it on the porch, it was useless as a ground chiler. It worked pretty decent as making a fog screen and everybody had good things to say about it, but it just wasn't what I was trying to achieve. I was going to put a heavy duty trash bag on the end but didn't have any or time to buy one. I did have those cheap small white bathroom trash bags but that was worthless. I think the weight of a Contractor really would have made a difference. This year will definitely be planned out a lot better.

See, and that was what I was worried about! I want to try to make one using a cooler, and someone had said to use frozen bottles of water b/c they lasted longer. Curious to see how the bag works out.

yeah I'm hoping that with a longer dryer tube coiled around in there and with the contractor bag on the end it will be a lot better. even with the regular ice in the cooler and dry ice in the tube, the end of the tube was FREEZING. I just think that it didn't have enough contact with the pipe to cool down enough.
