been lurking off and on for a few years now, figure'd i'd make it official. it all started a few years ago when my wife and mother-in-law started planning a halloween party at my house.they mentioned something about a hayride when i stepped in and said it "had" to be a haunted hayride and that if they handled the food,id take care of the hayride.that first year, thinking i'd probably be by myself,i had built small ramps that when driven over would activate scares.i ended up with about 5 guys to help the first year and each year, the whole thing has been growing larger than i could ever have imagined.each year, its getting bigger and better .last year, about 15 guys helped.this year,we expect over 100 people at the party and hopefully at least 15 guys willing to scare.the hayride itself has several stationary scenes .an 8' clown face wall with drive-thru mouth and tunnel, ufo, pirate ship, graveyard with real hearse and several other smaller scenes.3 fogmachines, fog chiller and dozens of strobes, blacklights and area lighting.its going to start raining in a few days and will rain up until thursday,so i wont have a lot of time to set everything up and take pics, but i'm definitely going to video it this year as opposed to only worrying about running the operation and later realizing i dont have any pics or videos of the spectacular event that just happened.
