    New to the board here, and arrived by way of having carved jack-o'-lanterns for Halloween for several years now.

    Obviously, my username has been purloined from Tolkien's LOTR, but it's one that I've used for a long time on another message board.

    Won't be doing anything too fancy for Halloween this year, mainly just carving some new pumpkins. Any decorations that my wife and I put up will be more whimsical than scary, as my son will only be six months old by the time Halloween rolls around.

    Welcome to the forum Saruman. I too started out a pumkpin carver when I lived various places I couldn't really display bigger things. Carving all sorts of faces and scenes can be a lot of fun and rewarding. AGAIN WELCOME. Cait

    PS: After yu've been here a while I'll bet you become more than a pumpkin carver. Everyone gets infected with decorat-a-itis... lol.
