My wife and I started doing the over the top decorating about 15 years after we got out of the Army and didnt have to move all the time. We dont do things as normal some of you. We want our house to be fun with a little bit of scare. We started this when my granddaughter wouldnt come over during halloween. So we set a rule that we do not scare little kids. Teenages and parents are fair game. I usually am out front harrassing our guests and just having fun. Last year we started doing more remote control props to add a little excitement. Its amaizing the diffenance our display has taken over the years. Before I couldnt wait for the halloween stores to open so I could buy something. Now I make most of my own props. One of the things that I love about doing this is when when you talk to a young couple with kids and they tell you that they used to come to our original house when they were kids. My 100% favorite part of Halloween is our anuall Trick or Drink Party done the night before Halloween. That is when we do a complete dry run, I mean wet run of everything
