Hi Everyone!
I am very new and inexperienced at home haunting. We have only owned our house for a year now so I am still collecting and creating props for Halloween! I love horror movies and really go for a creepfactor in my decorating. The scarier the better, but I try to tame it down ever so slightly so trick or treaters aren't too scared to come to my door lol. Last year I actually got a few screams and hardly had any decorations out at all IMO.
Is anyone else from NC? I'm hoping to get the lowdown on where I can purchase good quality props and also how to make them inexpensively.
OCT 2010 I plan to have a cemetery and a witch's room. So far I only have 3 tombstones, a zombie, a grim reaper, and bottles for the witch room. I need some good qual tombstones and a scary witch and cauldron! Any tips would be much appreciated.
I look forward to haunting with you guys![]()

Hello Lauren, and welcome to the forum!
I would suggest making your own tombstones. Check out Terra's tutorials. Building Halloween Tombstones She Rocks!!!!!I'm all that's left of a bizarre childhood.......

Welcome to the forum, Lauren! I'm in Concord, NC myself.
I love horror movies and creepy decorating also. Scary, but not gory.
I buy all my foamboard from Lowe's. I think Home Depot has the thicker (2 inch) foam in our area. I just use the 3/4" foam myself.
