Hi everyone! So, I've been poking around a bit on this site and am amazed at everyone's ingenuity. I've decided I'm going to do it. No more just carving pumpkins for Halloween... time for the real stuff. Year by year, I plan on making it bigger, but my first project will be a FCG. I'm picking up a microwave tonight to disassemble and get the motor from. I guess I just don't know how to power it once removed. Also, what is the benefit of using pulleys vs. eyebolts? I'm really excited about all this, though! I even picked up a black light from wally's world last night for $10. Not bad!
Well, if you have suggestions on how to power motors/eyebolt suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it. Happy to be with you all! I'm excited!![]()

Hello and welcome to the forum!
The main advantage of pulleys over eye bolts would probably be less friction on the lines coming from the crank. But, if you use a good nylon cord for the first couple of feet, it'll probably last for years even with eye bolts.I'm all that's left of a bizarre childhood.......

Hey Mesman! Welcome. Whereabouts are you in Utah? I was born and raised in Provo/Orem. Did some haunting there a few years back. Good to hear someone else is taking on the mantle. We have some other excellent haunters here on the forum in Utah, too.
