Most of you don't know me, but for those who do I wanted to say....I'm alive!

Contrary to popular belief, I'm still kicking. I just haven't done anything haunted or Halloween related in two years. You see....I had what many call burnout. After going "Pro" and dealing with the public for 4 years as well as the Fire Marshall's codes and the city's and county's laws, I lost all zeal and quite frankly my love for our beloved day.
In 2008, we were huge -- being on the English and Spanish speaking news, radio spots, live broadcasting. Along with that popularity came the scammers, the losers, the liars and those who will do anything to get over on you. This included two chicks who took an emergency exit two minutes in and later pretended to be injured to get their money back. I was hip to their scheme and refused. We called the Fire Department to make a report of their so-called injury and one threaten to sue. My hefty insurance policy gave me the guts to say, "See ya in court!!" I, of course, never did hear from them again.

And then there was the cleanup -- Good GAWD THE CLEANUP!! Most of it done by myself and a few die-hard crew members. Where did the other 20 of them go?!

All of this wrapped up to me being overworked, in a cast for three months and sitting in a wheelchair for a year. But....

Now I'm Back! I'm back and ready to take my rightful place in the scary kingdom. However, not the way you may think. I'm going back to my roots, dearies. That's right! I'm leaving the "Pros" behind with their laws and codes they must adhere to. With their unbelievable deadlines, exuberant flame retarding bills and endless hours upon hours of preparation.
Black plastic? BRING IT ON! Wooden pallets? GLAD TO SEE YA! Tapping haunt guests on the shoulder and lightly brushing past them? YOU JUST WATCH ME! 'Cause this year, I'm giving a horror house and party for all my friends and their guests.

The Halloween spirit has returned to this ole' gal and I'm sooooo glad to be back!

I wondered where you went.I remember you from back when I first started coming to this site and reading older post in the slow months.

I have never met you but I'm glad that the spirits of halloweens past, present and future have visited and that your back.. It's too bad that a few bad pumpkins can ruin the whole patch..

You are complete dear! Thank you for posting that. I had no idea. Medusa and I were as thick as demons back in the day. I have responded to her post. Thanks again!!
