I have read this forum for a while now and thought it was high time to finally register!

I love all things scary that are Halloween. No fairies or princesses for my family. I cannot remember a time that I didn't love Halloween. Lots of people have their best memories of Christmas and other holidays, but our family always went all out for Halloween. Maybe that is why I like it so much.

We do our decorating at our local camp ground instead of our yard. That means that we work hard for a couple of days setting everything up to get to enjoy it and share it with the community for just a couple of days.

This past Halloween we won 2nd place in camp site decorations and was told we would've won first if we had more lights. We had more lights but unfortunately it had rained earlier and shorted out many of them.

I am here to get some new ideas so that come spring we can get busy building to have the best display at the camp ground.

    Greetings.
    fairies can be scary too...
Sometimes a dark twist on something usually perceived as innocent or good can have a very high creep factor...Ignore the "Little People" at your peril!

bethene does the "camp ground thing" every year. I'm sure you'll both have some good ideas to share!

hi Terri, welcome to the forum! I too do campground haunts, I do 2 of them, this year due to health issues missed both of them, but the year before that won first in one park, but the other one doesn't do that sort of thing, I know what you mean, about the set up, I basically have so much that it takes 2 days, at least to set up, one day to have it enjoyed, and then tear down and start over again 2 weeks later. then unload it, and set one up at home, smaller due to hubby being worried about vandelism.
this year at home we did a small grave yard, if you go to my page and get to all album you can find my "08 campground pics. do you have any pictures? would love to see them. I would love to hear about your campground haunt!!
