Suprised it took me this long to find this board.
I have been doing home made halloween things for years. Not as nice as most of the other members, but Wife and I did our best to entertain the nieghborhood kids and adults. Over the past 15 plus years we try to add something new each year. This year I came close to not doing our Grave yard due to $$$$ [ took a 60% pay cut to keep my job]
But the local kids and parents would walk past and ask when ??? Even though I can not replace my Fog machines and failed strobes We will be up and running.
99% of all our stuff is home made. All our Grave stones are that of friends, you would be suprised as to how much they look foward to seeing how large and where there placed. This year we high-Jacked 5 of them to dress and play the part.

It is now almost 12:45 and we just came inside after rushing to set up the final stuff. Tommorrow the last working fog machines go out. The pics I posted were last years.

Halloween is MY night. As much as I do for Xmas, Haloween is the 1 night we are free to be what we like.

Each of my Grave stones is that of a Friend. Like i said before you would be suprised as to how much they [ friends] value there place in the Grave yard.
Some have been buried here for many years, and some more recent, but all are welcome to scare the Heck out of anyone who Dares enter the Adams Street Cememetry.
To be honest we give a free pass to very young and timmed. I have a straight man [girl] that works with each live dead person. They get you in close, tell you no it is make believe.
Each one of them turns on or off the Dead actor. Because the actor may not be able to see who or what is there. Code words are used to scare your butt off. And the straight ones discreetly activate the smoke/fog machines.
All in all I love doing it. If I had the $$$ there would be no limit. We even added a Pet cemetary.
By the way You never get planted with only your real name. You get a Nick name and a tag line.
In 09 I add the "BAN text" to a few displays. Thats the witches Alphabet. Only those who know can read it.
