I'm Sandy from Missouri. I'm with the local rural fire department here. The fire department has been building a haunted house for years where they use the money made for a fireman's fund. In the last couple of years, boyfriend and I have gotten into it. Boyfriend loves Halloween and is the engineer, builder, etc. I'm not a huge Halloween person, but this year have gotten more into it.
I made some tombstones using styrofoam and monster mud for the cemetary. Getting ready to make a monster mud grim reaper. I've always been a crafter, and after reading on here and another list, realized I can get crafty for the haunted house.
I loooooooooove the ideas on here as some are budget oriented, last year the fire department gave us 500 to spend. We do a large haunted house, luckily, area contractors donated a lot of lumber to do the framing. Some comes out of our pockets.
Last year, we had some groups go through the St. Louis haunted houses, then came to ours and commented that it was just as good. That made us pretty dang proud!
