The Joker: No worries, I am
extremely thick-skinned and
very hard to offend – and being a bit of a sarcastic wiseass myself – I know how to take a joke…
I am however (along with all my groomsmen) getting inked on my bachelor party – it’s a long standing tradition I started with my hometown friends in Chi-town. The groom picks out what, and where, the new tattoo goes – and the rest of his groomsmen follow suit…
Over the years I’ve been a best man three times – so I’ve been waiting for this day to come, payback is a bitch for sure…
Hallorenescene: Henna is surprisingly easy to work with. The Squeeze and I enjoying drawing on each other anyway – and since she works at a cake shop decorating cakes – she is a natural at it…
Just pretend that you’re writing on a cake with icing - plus it’s cheap to boot. A vial of it with a working/”drawing” tip only cost me $20 bucks…
And we don’t own a dishwasher, well – if you don’t count The Squeeze that is…

(we have a deal where I cook and she cleans-up afterwards)
I have however, come up with something that will make her life easier though: this past weekend at fest was Irish Days, and part of that entailed having a bunch of local micro-brews there giving out samples for “free”. (You paid $5.00 for all you could drink in about 4 hours – which I found out, is quite a bit…) And being a homebrewer myself, I enjoyed chatting with people who share my passion for the hobby…
Anyway – after stumbling out of the beer tent, The Squeeze and I passed by a place that sold old fashioned style brooms, and since we’re having a hand-fasting type of ceremony – went in to look for a broom for her to jump over on our wedding day. While in there, I saw that they also sold a wide variety of wands – and in a momentary drunken lapse of love for my girl – told her to pick one out, and I would empower it with the ability to grant her
any wish she wanted once a month for as long as we were married…
She of course jumped at this offer – and with a giddy look on her face, chooses the instrument of my doom.
I know this act of romantic love is going to come back and haunt me, time and time again…
