Oh, and one more just because I like it... this is me getting ready to be Ash from Army of Darkness. Unfortunately, I didn't get a single focused shot with the chainsaw from that year.
::edit:: I guess Photobucket wasn't kidding when it told me moving pics to different albums would break my links..

Jackielantern, this just makes you an "enhanced" version of your true selfDefault
I'm not ready to embrace my "true self" yet. I'm staying with the color & highlights.

Oh my gosh Bilbo. This extended recovery time must have been very difficult for you and your family. We have been helping our oldest son through his recovery from an industrial accident and almost four years of surgery. We are "EXHAUSTED" and it looks like there will be at least two more years of recovery in front of him. It's good to know you have found the strength, and I suspect your wife has been a pillar of strength. Bless you both.Only 9 more days and 2007 will be my first surgery free year since 2001

Thank you very much, Madame. I do have a wonderful support system in my family and my friends. One of the things I am most proud of is summer of 2003 I was diagnosed with Chondrosarcoma, a form of bone/cartlidge cancer. They removed it and a piece of my liver along with doing some plastic surgery on my leg to close up the wound from the break all within two days.
One month later I was walking without my cane and danced at my own wedding.
To be honest, it was much harder on my family and friends than it was on me. After all, I got the good painkillers!
I have also been cancer free since the removal and did not have to have chemo or radiation or anything. I truly do feel blessed.
My prayers also go out for your son for a speedy recovery. It's not easy to go through.

Hang in the Bilbo. You are a luck man and it's great to hear such a great prognosis. Just think, they might not have found the cancer if you hadn't had the accident

Well, here's a photo of me on my birthday in 1976, with a wonderful present from my folks.
"WHAT'S out there?"
"I don't know.......it was little and brown, and low to the ground!"

Bilbo, thanks for sharing your pictures, you seem quite the character.
Ash from Army of Darkness, that is veryVERY cool!!
And I'm certainly sorry to hear of your hardships, but you definitely impress me as the type of guy that can bounce back from anything--thank goodness for the support of your family and friends to help you along.
Keep rockin' on, man!
