Succub'Oz, sorry for encouraging OEJ...don't want to get in the middle of the frey
You two play nice because Santa is watching. Besides, I'm sure you are both so beautiful on the inside that your outer appearance doesn't even matter. Well, on second though you might look a bit goofy if you were bald. I've seen the picture of your pretty long hair...don't cut it or I'll cry!

I can't remember if I posted this on another thread, but....

To join the 'hair' conversation, I am in the process of growing out color, and have resigned myself to the fact that I will look like hell for about 6 months!! So you probably won't see any new pics of me for quite some time!!!

I just decided that enough is enough, my hair is grey, and so be it. It has to do with being true to who I really am, and honoring my authentic self... it's kind of hard to explain without sounding really cheesey. Think of the money I'll save!! This way I won't have to dye my hair grey when I wear my Madam Hooch costume....all the better!!!

I'll keep you posted on my progrss, I can't wait til it is grown out enough to cut the color off. Fortunately I am NOT afraid of VERY VERY short hair

OEJ, I have a friend with hair that texture and she swears that it is all about finding someone who can cut your hair in layers, thus eliminating the all-growing-straight-out-to -the-sides issue. Her hair looks great, and is a lot like yours in the CD photo. Good luck with it.

Hooch, I'm really proud of your commitment to making it through the grow out phase. I decided to see if my hair was grandma gray yet (my siblings all have "beautiful" silver/white hair) but I discovered I'm still in between. That's another reason my siblings still tell me I'm adopted. I caved in and recolored it because we were going to a Christmas party with my hubby's coworkers. I'm so weak

We're leaving in about twenty minutes to go to Richmond to my niece's wedding....and I ALMOST caved and colored this week...so thanks for the encouraging words, Madame T. It's what's inside that counts, right?

I'm not ready to embrace my "true self" yet. I'm staying with the color & highlights.

I also have really thick, unevenly curly hair. It's true....find a stylist that knows how to handle it & you'll love them forever.
