Hi from NJ!

New to the site..took a quick look around and it seems like a great place to bounce ideas around. There's a lot of stuff here that get's me inspired to get off my rear and finish my projects!

About me:

I love Halloween! Surprise! Who here doesn't?
In particular Sleepy Hollow. I started a modest yard dispay in 2001 after we bought our home. I try to be authentic and use or create if I have to - objects that are seen in Tim Burton's movie.
My wife thinks I'm crazy but in the end she thinks it's cool too. This is the first year my 3 1/2 year old daughter had a hand in helping and that makes me very proud!
I would like to think we make Trick or Treating a blast on our street because the kids as well as the parents hang out in the yard to talk and take pictures.

I'm always looking for ideas or items that I think will fall in line with the theme and mood of my display and I'm hoping this is the place for it!
My long term goal in the end would be a neighborhood Halloween Party followed by a reading of Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow in our yard.
