:Hi, I think Halloween rocks. My son dresses up like a skeleton and we decorate the outside of the house. He quietly sits outside and people can't tell if he is part of the decorations or not, he scares the skin off some people. That's what Halloween is all about, not all this cutesy stuff you find all over the place, happy pumpkins, give me a break. Who ever heard of a smiley Halloween? Blood, creepiness, and scare, now that keeps the kids coming back every year.

Hi Gwendolyn,
I see that was your first post, so welcome.

I agree with you completely, Halloween is scary, we don't want anything cute.

Well since that last post my sister and I went to see the Grudge so all I have to do now is call up and make croaking noises across the line at night time. LOL. Much easier to do than to travel 430 miles for a scare.

Summer - let me know how that goes scaring your sister. Also what'd you think of The Grudge, I haven't seen it yet, but want to?

It is a scary flick that does not use gore just to try and get you to squirm. Instead it uses one's fear of the unknown and the dark to get the biggest bang for the buck. The scares build up and then just lash out when you don't expect it. There is one or two scenes where some blood and body parts are used, but not overly so.

The storytelling may seem disjointed since it frequently goes back in time to show events leading up to everything.

I highly recommend this movie to anyone who likes spooky horror movies. Now I hope they make an American version of the next Grudge movie.
