Hi, my name is Robert. I just stumbled upon this site last night and had to join. I actually started posting b4 introducing myself. I have been crazy about All Hallow's Eve as far as I can remember. When I became a home owner I started out with some dummys and myself dressed up as one to scare the crap out of the kiddies. Every year I would add something new to the decore. Then I discoved Compressed Air. I just happened to have an air compressor and my first air prop was born. I was intimidated at first but finally got the courage up to try a Trash Can Trauma. WOW after getting it right I fell in love!!! I have alot of little things but my TCT and a simple Tombstone Pop up is the biggest thing I have. I use fog and lightning machine last year I added a cemetary fence. I'm not trying to create a haunted house, just a very spooky yard... I like startling them with the can however. I'm working on a FCG as well. I may add a Dog House effect I'm not sure. But I sure am glad I found ya'll...

I also just found this place. It's a great forum. I have a question. Last year, I built a TCT but only used it for my party. This year I was thinkking of putting it out for the TOTs but I am not sure if it is "just too much" for the little ones. What kind of reaction did you get from the TOTs. Did you have it up close and personal or at a distance?

Well, I use a little discretion as to whether or not the kid is already a little freaked out by the atmosphere. I pretty much get the majority of them though.. I'm laughing as i type this. I told a friend at work to bring his kids over and I wouldn't scare them. Well way into the night a pirate came up as curios as can be so I let him have it. Who's kid did you think it was. He wasn't mad though. I just let the boy play with the switch a few times to make up for it. I put the can close by with a plash large spider on top with blinking eyes. It directs their attention to it, and I get right before they reach me to get candy. I really enjopy it when teen agers run away empty handed.

Welcome Rsalive to the best Halloween forum on the net. You sound well hooked with the bug my friend. LOL I've had to do the same thing with our haunt. Trying not to scare kids already freaked out. Got hit once by a TOT as a reaction to fear. We had one lady come through with a little girl. The kid was totally freaking as the lady yelled at me,
"Don't you scare my little girl!"
All I could reply was,
"To late lady."
I guess you got to have a sense of humor if you want to do this. LOL
Hope to see ya around often. Great to have new voices and ideas.

Well, I dragged out my TCT, he isn't the prettiest thing, but the tots aren't too critical...
