Hi all,

I'm glad I found you guys. I was wondering where everybody else like me was!
Just a short note to say that the Halloween bug bit me about 20 years ago when I was asked to help out at a local Jaycees haunted house (local being in Northwest Florida, near Pensacola). I finally got the chance to start spooking my own place when I bought a house about 9 years ago. Since then, every year, the displays get a little bigger, a little spookier AND start going up a little sooner. I usually start flying a large Jolly Roger flag on the first of October to tell the neighbors "It's HEEERE!". Then I spend the next month parking the cars in the driveway and using my garage as the "Staging Area" if you will. My wife is quite accustomed to my behavior although I start getting the bug a little sooner each year. I told her "Hey, it's May. It's time to start thinking about Halloween!" I know, I know. I'm a little behind! I'll work on it...

Anyway, thanks for being out there in more ways than one.

Welcome . So what am I? The biggest nutcase here or just a fanatic or ?? I haunt my house almost every night of the entire year, three people just got done with the tour moments ago(she was from Florida)
I really had to go easy on them, they were scared, the 12 yr. old boy kept saying he had a bad movie experience, it was "The Ring".
Of course at the tour's conclusion the big brave Aunt had to become meek and squeaky with fear of that terrible all-encompassing thing called...the DARK!
"They" all said "It will never work!" A haunted house open all year long in a little village in the middle of nowhere, going on 18 years now, this is all that I do for a living.(Besides sell alot of like new used cars and clothing and handbags and dentures and glasses and cell phones, need a no-limit credit card or two? Got lots of them out back, right beside all 325 Harleys in my random, accidental "collection", need a deal? hahahaha! This week's medical fix-it man speacial low-miles kidneys, a matched set!

We're just trying to offset the amount of water slides and theme parks that Florida is usually noted for!

Welcome Tim Prescott to the best Halloween forum on the net. Another one form Florida? I think it's the West Nile virus. LOL I lived in Crestveiw for a little bit over a year back in the mid 70s. That might explain......LOL
