Thread: Newbie alert!!!

Hello everyone!

I can't believe I haven't come across this forum sooner! The first time I started surfing the threads I spent close to 4 hours just drooling over all the great projects people have done or are working on now! I think for my first couple of projects I want to try my hand at using pink or blue foam to kick out some tombstones. I also saw a very cool 7 ft. monster mud reaper I would like to do as well. I have a little experience in prop making through the Replica props forum to which I've been a member for over 12 years under the same screen name. So if you poke your head in to say hi maybe you could recommend your favorite or what you think would be to most important tool for tombstone and monster mud working tools.

Check out Terra's tombstone how to's on her YouTube page (scaryladyvideos). As far as monster mud just play with it see what you like, I believe the mix is 5 parts paint 1 part (vets back me up) but just mix until you like it. Just type monster mud into YouTube or a search here. Youll find all the information you need.

Yep I've been checking out Terra's blog and YouTube videos, fantastic work and how-to's! From what I've read the 5:1 ratio sounds about right.
