Hi! I'm a dad of two boys who are in Boy Scouts. Our troop runs a haunted house (www.hauntedhall.com) as a fundraiser annually. 2011 is our 13th year >>cue: spooky music<<

I've been involved with the Haunted Hall for about 7 years now. This year, I will be designing my 5th floor plan. We're always looking for good ideas and effects. We have created some of our own - ok, we've used some other ideas and ran with them (kind of like running with scissors, usually!)

It's become a rather large event in West Michigan. In recent years, we've collected food for local food pantries (donations = discounted tickets) and annually collect 3,000+ lbs. of goods. We also pair up with a charity to collect additional donations, raising monies for local youth organizations, Susan G. Komen Foundation, National Kidney Foundation, just to name a few.

Halloween weekend is always a bittersweet time in the season - sad that the haunting is done for the year, but glad to have a bit more free time back.
