If you want to keep your old post counts and albums, you can go back into your old account and request a namechange. Click the User/CP button up at the top (3 over)...
Look at the options along the left and the "request username" button and submit the new name. As you've already opened this new name, you might want to send a PM to Larry about merging or otherwise, but it should be possible to get your new name with your old post count and settings.
