Hey, Iv'e used the site for helpful info many times so I thought it was time to join. Not a lot of action in our neighborhood so we do halloween campouts. I enjoy building my own stuff. Thanks

Halloween campout? Is it as simple as it sounds?

No, not so easy. Most State Parks in Michigan have 2 or 3 Halloween weekends in the fall, some even start in September. It's cool because every one camping is into Halloween. They have contests for best decorated site, best scarecrow, pumpkin, etc. Some friends and I do a full cemetery, haunted house, lights, fog, music, etc. We need to arrive a couple days early, with our campers packed with props and stuff, to get it all set up. You need tons of candy for all the kids that come by. It's an adventure and a lot of fun.

WOW! Sounds like tons of work and effort just to transport everything and setup in such a short timespan ........but also sounds very cool to create an isolated halloween event in the wilderness! Im sure its very rewarding......of course it is! Isnt that the reason we all go through the effort to create such Halloween events!
