Hello, I have been a member for a while and have never posted. Now that I have made it through some hard times (and have a yard again) I figure it is time to contribute. I have been haunting since 1995 both pro and yard. If you have time take a look at my album and if you have any questions or want a tutorial just ask. I hope all have a wonderfully haunted year. Below is a long winded bio (so you have been warned)
At around the age of 9 I got in trouble at school frequently. My mom and Dad went back to college and had to take me with them on many occasions. This was fantastic due to the fact I got to attend some amazing courses with my Mom and Dad. They ranged from the obscure witchcraft in history, human anatomy courses and theater makeup courses just to name a few. When ever in trouble I would get my homework done the night before, because I knew the next day I would be allowed to draw in the classes I was taken to. After dissecting and correctly labeling frogs, amongst other things, I would then be allowed to draw them. All this while my Mom got to work on a human cadaver! Then I would go to makeup class and watch as people used soap to create a bald spot on their head, and gush blood from there neck using a hidden pump in their hand. So you can see that the macabre and gory really became interesting to me at an early age. At 13 a friend walked up to me on the play ground and in his hand, rolled up, I could see an issue of Gorezone. I asked to look at it; it only took moments to decide it was the coolest thing I had ever seen, shortly after I discovered the magazine Fangoria too. My dad used to reward me with books like Marry Shelly’s Frankenstein, and Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. From that time on it was comic books and horror! I loved art of all kinds. I drew and I drew then I started to draw, paint, sculpt, and write anything that came to mind. I became art club president in high school and head of the local teen art advisory panel. I made an 8mm stop motion video in my senior year, and won first in every art completion I entered. With this I started college and began to major in film and theater. I took the play “Waiting for Godot” and adapted it to become my first short film. In 1999 I was two classes away from a theater degree. I decided to go to makeup school in LA. Not having the money, I decided to join the Army. I went through a major dark period till the beginning of 2000. That’s when I met my now wife and found a completely new purpose in life. We married and I went to two wars and we had three children while I was n the military. I have since worked for various companies locally and nationally. My recent clients include Twisted Terror Productions, The musician Drew Crawford, and Kirk Warrington. I have also illustrated Book Covers, CD's, Theater Posters, and Video game concepts. My working techniques include mainly computer generated art.
