Norm Partidge's DARK HARVEST is exellent, and you might want to look up a few of my own, including FRIGHTFUL OCTOBER, A HAUNTED HALLOWEEN, MISCHIEF NIGHT, A HALLOWEEN HARVEST, DARK HARVEST, THE WATCHING, and I'll have a few new releases this fall. Did I mention I write Halloween books?

    You don't say? ROFL.

I think it's awesome that you write Hallowe'en books, I really should look you up on Amazon sometime

I'm interested in recommendations for books to read round Hallowe'en. I always find Dean Koontz is a good one to read. I can't blame you guys for breaking out Goosebumps, those stories are awesome and some of them are still pretty scary! Some of the Point Horror young adults books are good too. My other half has one called The Carver which I read recently and it scared me. I keep meaning to buy "The Scarecrow Walks at Midnight". I remember that terrified me when I was younger. I hate scarecrows ¬¬

Then don't watch the made for TV movie DARK NIGHT OF THE SCARECROW. Great flim, and genuinely creepy with a music score that's simple but very weird and effective. Actually, I recommend watching it if you can find a copy.

I also like reading books based on true accounts of ghost stories, something in abundance here in SE Pennsylvania, but I'm sure your region has its own share.

Dean Koontz has a collection of short stories called "Strange Highways". They are perfect for Halloween reading.

All of Ray's books are the classics for halloween. You can't go wrong with them. Legend of Sleepy Hollow is a MUST READ this time of year. Now I'm reading Time Crystal in THE OCTOBERS. Cool new series. Also, just Edgar Allen Poe. Nevermore!!
